200e is the going rate am I correct ? It sure is costly , but for 2 or 3 times a season , 10 ahead off 15 or 16 lads. It's nearly worth it instead of waiting around 5 or 6 weeks for a match. , if a team is going for the league, momentum is key.

Best of luck getting 10 a head off of 15 or 16 lads. Hard enough to get fellas to pay up for membership. There’s not an all weather pitch available every weekend too. I think you’re living in a blue sky world, here in the real world it simply makes sense for lots of reasons to call the game off if the weather is that bad. nearly all decent clubs will play their games when they can.

At the Aul meeting Tom and Martin did say they’ll be hiring All weather for big cup games that has to go ahead not sure will they be forking out or do teams have to share cost be interesting to see if this does happen.

Plenty of lads want to play games , if they won't want to pay for it once in a blue moon , or blue sky , gluck. Same lads not paying would sooner buy it on 2 pints.

Heard Coachford are looking for a new manager already, anyone else hear anything

Jason Bourne
05/10/2023, 10:21 PM
Havnt heard anything from down that direction bar the management told the Gaa heads it's one or the other , fair dues if there's any truth in that by the way.

Shandon will be quietly confident on Sunday I'd say with the game up in Pophams.

why are AUL not using the fai connect app? its a godsend and not hard to use at all. very handy way of keeping up with scores/scorers etc.

I’d say it’s up to the clubs to use it. Grangevale have been using it.

Grangevale in fairness bounce their signals off their lap tops I'd say from their Media/ IT support group who let us know whos available an not available for every game.

The teams out in the middle of no where have to use pigeons with team sheets tied to their legs who fly to Turners Cross. ;)

Personally think this app way out of reach of Aul think aul miles behind every league in Cork same people running it 30 years nothing change spoke to lad that plays with greenwood last week not saying this is true but his words if cathedral Celtic removed from cup for playing illegal player there committee told by aul they don’t go through because they never put in objection with in 4 days even thought Aul knew player suspended till Jan surely this can’t be true.

fruice
07/10/2023, 9:26 AM
To be fair the app is there if Clubs want to use it that simple.

Being honest it’s probably a bit of a pain additionally admin to an already busy match day.

But at the same time a good tool for a club especially from keeping a record of games played, goals scored etc.

Surely if Cathedral are gone the team they beat in the last round go through otherwise is just leads to a bye for some team.

The big question is we’re Cathedral aware of his suspension they might not have been.

Harsh ref

Yes fruice unfortunately they were well aware banned till jan just thought with this app they’d get away with it but could be in a spot of bother now good win for castleview today played nice football.

Jaysus lads, I'd love to be involved with Cathedral. They're not even playing this weekend and everyone is talking about them. It's like the Glen in their heyday and Knocka when they weren't sh*te.

Jason Bourne

I just think if there talking about you there bored.

It's easier to say another team is struggling to admit your team is struggling.

An some if not all of the sides mentioned on here are struggling.

So it's easier to deflect.

But sur , what do I know ,,,,,,,,,,

2 1 win for coachford after extra time worse coachford team I’ve seen in years 12 players and only missing Bradley and Adam Murphy safe to say they won’t be competing for league this year were there for taking all day think Shandon will be kicking themselves

Adi bucks retired 4 gone to Donoughmore manager told um pick soccer or gaa a lot of youth players playing this morning unfortunately very young not up to standard don’t know who’s managing them now but they’ll need to add players to get close to Springfield and grangevale in my opinion.

I think AdaM Murphy was playiing today and on the coachfort social media they have down as scoring. Do you know if the last years AUL player of the year was one of those who went to donomore,? it didnt look as if he was there today.

It's a strange call alright .

Grangevale an Springfield must be happy with that though.

Village had a great away win down in Banteer considering Donoughmore have taken Coachfords exiles.

Big games for certain teams again next weekend

Have seen Donoughmore play twice this season , they got a goalkeeper , striker , and a guy in midfield from coachford, Jake murphy is the striker , born goalscorer , midfielder is impressive player on the ball and the goalkeeper is very good also, 3 great additions. They also have a guy Drinan , who’s impressive on the wing

Definitely makes the league more interesting. It’s nearly hard to see past grangevale already. They have a lot going for them, biggest thing being the size of their squad and their consistency.

This league for the last 2 seasons has been about 2 teams , an the rest were cannon fodder.

One of those teams has lost a few an one has gained a few.

Write Coachford off at your cost,,,,,,an Grattan ,,,,,they aren't the most successful Aul club over the last 25 years for nothing.

Looking forward to this weekends games to be honest . Few crackers in store.

Lads how in gods name didnt the Aul put in an Oscar Traynor team is beyond me. I haven’t seen this guy from watergrasshill yet but you would want to be a special talent to score 6 goals in one game. There is serious talent around the Leagues this year. I think they would have done very well

On the game in question ,,,,,,some pair of liathroidis to bully that club away.

Best decision the Aul have done in years was not embarrassing the league on a national spectrum,,,,an the Aul know that , hence why they havnt asked for a manager

We years behind,
Miles off

Be better off if they just called it the Cork Junior Select an let a fella chose from the whole lot,,, Aul, MSL Jun,,WCBL & BL

That is an outrageous statement to make.
There are at least at least 20 high quality players in the aul.
We would very comfortably compete with most teams and I would nearly guarantee we would beat the CBL AND MJL by a couple of goals.
There are plenty of fellas on this page that seem to be at matches every week I’m sure they would confirm my beliefs.

Have to agree wit goal here definitely there’s at least 7/8 players between watergrasshill castleview knocka that would be good enough and then add them to players in premier I think you definitely get a solid 20 players that would be good enough.
