I know I don’t type much in here, but I have a hobby of studying soccer history in Cork.

Castleview is now the most successful club in the AUL and, believe it or not, is now level with Temple in the total number of trophies earned. Considering Castleview has AUL, MSL Senior, MSL Junior, and a Senior Women’s team, it’s an outstanding feat. ? Also adding a huge Schoolboys section to note.

St. Mary’s has the most AOH Cups, followed by Castleview in second place, tied with Temple.

Castleview/Temple was one of the biggest rivalries in Cork and played some outstanding games back when the AUL was the Senior League.

The 1960s and 1970s were when they won the most, if you want to look it up.

The list goes: Castleview, Temple, Mary’s, Wembley, Greenmount.

That top five may have shifted slightly, but the top two are out on their own.

Grattan is the longest-serving team but is miles away from getting near the top two.

Without question, Coachford has been the team of the last decade, if not longer, a real credit to the club.

It also would be a shame not to mention Ringmahon back when the AUL played in Churchroad; it was a hive for Cork Football.

A good change from ridiculous statements and bias.

Hacker give me a break.
Grattan have 5 premier titles to Coachfords 3 ,
Am I to roll over to tripe comments.
Temple ruled the Aul an rightly so they were an awesome side.
Best ever.
But to slight Grattan when all they have done is win against all odds is wrong.
The Aul has bent over backwards to deny them an they still got on with it.

If you want to say I'm sticking by my lot stitch it on to all Northside clubs cause I support all Northside football.

Bias in here ruins this forum if I’m honest. Better off nominating from someone from each aul club on it and let fellas bicker away, 90% of the stuff here is giving out about teams doing well and how they got this and that and only for this they’d be in trouble etc. 10% football which majority of the time is good viewing on here.

Lads, what score are we going with for Friday night? Really can not see village getting near Coachford down to fitness and the game against knocka they were not great to be honest. Going to go with a close game till half time and Coachford to win 4-0

I agree and disagree at the same time, I think coachford will out at least 3 if not 4 goals past them, but it won’t be down to fitness I do in all honesty feel that’s a discredit to village, the only reason they’ve been competitive in games is down to their fitness, not the talent level they work like dogs, I think coachford are a better footballing side flat out, add in to the fact Village probably have 1 player over 6 foot compared to Coachford 5 or 6 and I think they’re going to absolutely batter them in the air especially from set pieces, I hope village make a game of it at the very least, I just feel their standout players (Gorta, Keniry) would be just another player in the coachford set up, imo the two Murphy’s in the middle for coachford are the best midfield duo in junior football by some distance, fit, tidy on the ball, hardworking, disciplined and two absolute units, can see them being out of sight by halftime if I’m being honest when you Theo in the likes of Bradley, the two O Sullivans, Linzell etc, they’re strong from 1-16

I agree they probably win well but wouldn’t agree strong 1-16 Grattan well over um down there and two best midfielder in junior football neither of them Murphy lads would lace Ya man Vinny boots for knocka he’s miles ahead of any junior player in any division in my opinion but do agree with you Ball think they’ll stroll through final Friday night

Welcome back Kevin yes Kevin that’s what my source have told me and their right to can’t have teams cheating and Aul covering it up slapping fines on teams bringing in money for themselves and teams that or the victims suffering as a lad today said to me greenwood weren’t reinstated back into Henry Healy after Aul were aware that Cathedral cheated and his words were we would of Bate knocka in final and it goes back to what I just wrote Greenwood were victims no justice what so ever from Aul but wait for it Catherdal were throwing out and here we go Aul fined um so moral of my story is greenwood got no satisfaction but Aul got money where is that right if greenwood didn’t gain why did Aul rant over

Took in glenthorns final game today, they started with 9, Gorta got there about 20 minutes into the game and came straight on without warming up, he looked injured after about 10 minutes, they’ve finished on -1 points, a frankly embarrassing season for them, the club needs to be gutted and start again. I played with them for many year up until 2018, there’s no way the club should be in the condition they are in. Surely they go down as the worst ever premier side in the AUL??

on a brighter note James Stout for Springfield is a pleasure to watch, one of the few lads I’ve seen play who is genuinely up there in ability with any player playing MSL. The big boys will come knocking for him soon enough

Tbf they stuck it out and finished the fixtures , there’s been a lot of clubs who have thrown the hat at it during a season. Building again could be very difficult. Maybe a few years at a lower level might be what they need.

Thought los zarcos would wrap up division 2 last night in bweeng. They’ll still win it I think but just makes the game v grattan a bit more interesting. Division 2 in fairness this season has been evenly contested, not much between top 6 teams.

Was down in Bweeng last night for that game. Awful game in awful conditions. Draw probably a fair result. Bweeng try to play some nice football but playing the ball between their back 3 on that pitch is going to cost them eventually. Los Zarcos just played hoofball trying to find one of their fast wingers in behind. They look to be down a few bodies since I seen them earlier in the season.

In all fairness was there every a good game played in Bweeng.

It has to be the worst pitch in the AUL.

Then throw it up so high the wind impacts the game.

That’s what I mean, the only players there this year from last years A team were Pa Long and Gorta, it’s essentially the B team who were mid table division 1 last season, the squad is young think they’re better dropping down and starting again.

If true brilliant for grats another trophie up northside and well deserved not only were they cheated by Wanderers Aul tried to do um over to surely Aul will have to answer to someone for this costing a club a league how many others teams have they screwed over this season and last few years and teams let it happen cause they didn’t have money to back up their appeal I’m finishing this Coors and heading to Josh Rossum hopefully your information is true if so well done Niall Robbie and mad Pa and all the players and Bourne sorry about the Full stops pints flowing in this heat I might reveal myself in CROSS later if I keep sinking um this fast………

Fair dues to Grattan for not bowing down.

Things have a way of evening themselves out.

The carry on at the start of the season looks to have caught up finally on Coachford.

Hope it dosent effect them tonite, will be a massive blow to them.

Wednesdays game still has to be played
