Il have an alcohol beverage if ya don't mind !! What's this I am hearing about coachford couldn't field a team over gaa match and the called it saying there pitch is unplayable and there pitch is perfect Grattan wanted the change game to there pitch and Aul said no I think the match should be changed i have seen I happen before I think every team should take this into account all team should be treated equally

Grattan werr down to play coachford this afternoon down in the glebe. Grattan rang the aul yesterday to say if the glebe isnt playable today that grattan pitch is available. Coachford rang the referee this saying pitch is unplayable the referee rang tom fitzgerald of aul to say pitch is unplayable and his words were exactly there is a few games around the northside after been called off over the weather so id presume grattan pitch is unplayable aswell, so grattan got no opportunity to take the home game even though was walked at 9am this morning and it was playable. So as an organisation they didnt follow there own protocol if home team pitch is unplayable the away team are contacted to see if there pitch is playable but grattan didnt even get that opportunity, so as an organisation serring rules thats they expect every team in league to follow and they cant even follow them themselves, so if if your someone on the outside looking in at this situation CORRUPTION comes to mind its happening for years with cork aul and coachford the darling club of cork aul that cant do any wrong absolutely scandalous behaviour from our organisation that we represent week in and week out and pay our entry fees every year and not treated fairly its a disgrace.

If the ref didn't inspect the pitch the can't just go off the teams ward that is ridiculous fai are over them so the should be connected right away

Sur they are looking after ucc aswell sur they wont play a game till end of September/october but we have to play games when our players are on holidays etc. Beggars belief it is.

Correct me please if I'm wrong but last season the only way a game was called of was if the referee inspected the pitch.

Must of been a lot of fuzzy heads this morning after last nites ? party.

Play it out
19/08/2023, 11:59 AM
All teams should be treated equally.

Coachford and Grattan should have taken place by all accounts with a pitch available and its the same **** as every other season with games being pulled when it doesnt suit a team. What's stopping the next team doing it? And the next? Week 1!!!

Coachford have caused enough problems with Mossie Linane and Inter League Competition this year, 2 ruined competiitions.

The college should be playing now too as you said.

I’m off the understanding and always was the case if a pitch for a league game is unplayable the game is off by rule.

However last year video footage was required to show the pitch was unplayable.

Secondly if a pitch was soft after the huge amounts of rain the fell yesterday any club would be foolish to play a game on it.

It would cut up and be in a poor condition after game 1 what chance would it have in December

Well by rule is not inspection from ref!! I alway remember if a game was being called the ref will still have to check y should it change today for coachford what make ya think it wad soft grattans pitch was perfect and to my knowledge coachford have better grounds grattan is bog as is!! by right ref and both teams should be down coachford with full teams on refs book is that not the rule anyway I thought it was but maybe the couldn't field a team

Home team makes the decision on the pitch yes the league can send the ref but rarely happens.
Video required after Christmas last season.

No the fixtures aren’t made by a coachford man.

If AUL had any sense they would have cancelled all fixtures for today last night to avoid creating a mess. Nobody would have batted an eyelid with the weather we had in fairness.

Absaloutley knowone is thinking that preferential treatment is being given to another club , out in Aghabullogue.

Cork aul is corrupt simple as, its states home pitch unavailable so game is supposed to offered to away team if pitch and playing surface is available which it was this morning but cork aul administration led by TOM FITZGERALD CORK AUL FIXTURE SECRETARY agreed that games up in northside were called off and presumed that GRATTAN UNITED PITCH WAS UNPLAYABLE WITHOUT CONTACTING ANYONE FROM GRATTAN COMMITTEE to take matters in to his own hands to satisy coachford needs is an absolute disgrace but sur no need complaining to fai or our local cork because it will passed to say his fault her fault or johnny fault. And you wonder why there is only 41 clubs in cork aul compared to 106 18 YEARS CORRUPTION

Jason Bourne

No .
Common sence will denote if the top pitch was flooded,,,,,the bottom pitch would be under water an if it wasn't it would of been if need be.

Anyway............Few big scores this weekend with bweeng celtic Shandon , Boher celtic , Rathcormac , looks like they recruited well . Div 2 and 3 will be interesting

fruice
21/08/2023, 5:48 AM
I think Boher will do well this season have a good chance of winning it nothing down there to upset them maybe Rathcormac.

2 could be a tight on great start by Bweeng but Rylane are poor.

How come there’s no squads input on the fai connect for the cork aul just the scores?

Broadway Joe
21/08/2023, 2:27 PM
I think a lot of teams are still using the hand written match cards so probably the reason no squads maybe? The comet app for Fai connect does not have to be in use up until around December

Not a great few weeks for Cathedral... was fully expecting them to push on this year.
Hammered by Doolans Cow, beaten by a bunch of hairdressers from shipping league last week and drew with Waterloo at weekend

Don't be commenting I've heard this I've heard that . If someone told you in a position within the organisation then so be it pass it on. There's going to be limited spaces in the cross from now on. When I played there was 2 schoolboy leagues in each age . Now my son's ages there is premier to division 10. Msl junior 5 leagues , senior 3 leagues. Plus business leagues. Finals will only be in the cross for the elite competitions from now on

The school boys league have the same numbers of finals for years there is the same amount of cups just more teams in them not more dates needed
