View Full Version : Cork AUL 2023/24
The result suggests that Cathedral have more than one player! Boohoo Knocka had a few injuries and players missing . Every team has to deal with injuries and fellas missing due to work. Can't see Knocka winning anything the manager is a total bluffer

Your right once they are confirmed they are good but in order for this to happen they must be confirmed by both the FAI and the league the AUL in our instance.
So is it a case that all grangevale players are on fai connect system and cathedrals aren’t? So that’s why grangevale can input the teams but cathedral can’t? Is it 2 different registrations now 1 with aul 1 with fai?

Can't talk for other teams but I know knocka had same issue lads where released but not confirmed some have only being confirmed today from 4 weeks ago so any player who only signed for any team a week it's doubtful there confirmed and no I think its fai registration but the player née to be added to each cup and league
Talking to a guy that looks after the registrations for a club and he said it's an absolute sh*t show. Takes hours to register fellas and assign them to comps.
The MSL no longer use match sheets they input them online before kick off so that's why they show on the app. Grangevale have a very good and active fella looking after their social media and fai connect. Seems to find the time to do it somehow. It is possible for every club to do it but it's no benefit to any club outside of the MSL. It's time consuming and sounds like a ball breaker.

Any player not confirmed to both their club and each competition isn't eligible and league must clamp down.
If a club is waiting 4 weeks then they haven't done it properly.
Plenty of webinars out there at least for clubs to get up to speed as it's new and very different, people need to get trained.
It be brilliant if we could see teams and subs on the app.

There are some fellas on the Northside that can barely use a full-stop let alone use FAI connect . That on topic enough for you "Who"?

This is what I don’t understand play it out your last line. Grangevale are using the app full squad and subs they seem to be only aul team using it. Coachford did aswell for Munster cup game.

To be quite honest it I think the fai have loaded enough admin on clubs besides asking them to fill out teams, subs and scorecards.
Uploading players is like getting in to the secret service if you were to fill out all the fields.

Senior league and junior league clubs all doing it with no problems it’s like watching LiveScore on a Saturday now and if you were chasing a player you can see if he’s getting any minutes. It’s a brilliant idea imo I’d like to see all the leagues have it shipping league aswell.

I’m not saying it’s not a good idea in fact it’s great but you are adding another layer of administrative work to a club especially if you are operating with underage teams.
The Connect systems end product is excellent but to get to the end product there is a lot of work thrown on volunteers who in most cases are probably over worked any way

Village beat Coty wanderers 1-0, City could and maybe should have had an equaliser second half but village defended like dogs, Leonard has them playing beyond their means, great turnout and support for village, 100% after 3 games I certainly didn’t see that coming

In fairness to Village a great start. 9.points..Great start also for Grange Vale in their first season in the Premier division , 7 points out of 9 including a draw at Grattan and hitting Corkbeg for 6.
Hopefully the Premier Division will be competitive with 3-4 teams in the hunt. Early days yet. Coachford amd UCC yet to play a league game..

You know we’re talking about knocknaheeny Celtic and not 08-09 Barcalona ffs any team can slip up and have a bad day Greenwood lost the same amount of games as knocka anyway so steady on bud it’s only September 2nd

Fair dues to Corkbeg bouncing back from two heavy defeats to advance in the mossie, that premier A genuinely looks the best it’s been in over a decade

The “Other Team” you are referring to used to be one of the most dominant teams in the AUL till they all gave up on there club manager included, can’t be going using that as an excuse when knocka have such great quality in there squad all be it age is catching up to them but they’ve accomplished almost everything in the aul

True Graham Murphy in goal has literally won every single available medal in the AUL, the lads have nothing to prove and tbh it feels like a last hurrah playing their last couple seasons with their friends while they can, there’s too much focus and negativity towards knocka Celtic, they still have the quality all over the pitch to beat any side in junior football

There seems to be a great buzz around it at the moment. Knocka back, Village lads buzzing fixing dressing rooms and playing well, Grattan going for it. All this effort yet Coachford never had to plat a midweek game. If they win the league this year, they don't deserve it as its not a fair start, given by league. It's actually quite shocking, doesn't happen in other leagues, even West Cork teams are playing. They're finally on now against Springfield Saturday.

I said it in last years thred that Coachford get an unfair bias in games and by the committee and everybody laughed and said it wasn’t true, not playing a league game yet all because the GAA is on is unfair on every other team in that division that are making it work with what they have at the minute

Lads we love the fact off a challenge!! There was only 5 player at Grattan the rest hadn't kicked a ball in 4 5 years and there's 5 6 new players so ya the need to get to know each other is all I am saying !!Great to see so many teams challenge this year !!abs yes we have won everything that's can be won and where hungry for more

Yes, coachford have been representing the AUL in 2 cups already this season, the inter league champions cup and the Munster champions cup. Game called off against grattan the weekend of the terrible weather too so it’s not as bad as some fellas are making out here. Some drama queens on this lol
Lads, if the effort that's put into teams hating each other was put into get the dinosaurs out of the committee we'd be in a much better place.
Thanks to them for the effort over the years and all that but Stevie Wonder can see it's dying. I personally know of one guy much younger that the current lads, that offered to do the fixtures this year but was laughed at cos he's involved with a club and would should favouritism. How the feck can you show favoritism when everyone has to play each other regardless?
The majority of the business league committee are playing with teams in their association and it's run a million times better than the AUL. Now by all means leave MC, TF, DC involved in the backseat but get your clammy hands off the steering wheel.

Hahaha! Think everyone would prefer if knocka asked for games to be postponed instead of folding. Grattan have played 2 league games and coachford have 2 competitive games played since august, albeit in different cups. You’d swear there was 10 games after being played in the league. Don’t forget coachford are trying to keep 2 junior teams afloat so if they need free weeks or extended start so be it. Let you focus on helping knocka see out the season. It must be hard resisting the urge to fold already tho after everything not going yer way haha
