goal-achio,,,,,,,,very interesting concept if I am reading you correctly.
I have a question.
In relation to the UCC Seniors.
Can they then call up players from the
AUL UCC Juniors.
The MSL UCC Juniors & UCC Acidemicals.
The CBL UCC Junior team.
Are they all then available if required .

They can call on all players bar the business league team. Crazy carry on but they are the rules. Now I have never had a player called up to senior and as far as I know it has never happened. But yes your right they can call up any junior player from AUL or the 2 MSL teams

It’s a stupid rule no doubt but If your a senior player you dong play junior for ANY club you just transfer to another senior club
Jason Bourne
02/12/2023, 10:25 PM
The Fai rule book clearly states that a player cannot be registered to play in 2 different leagues .
Bit puzzeled now.
Why would the CBL be excempt from the rule, or anyone for that matter .

Think what fish said is spot on tho how can you play Msl sat and Aul Monday surely this can’t be right.

From an admin point of view on FAI Connect.
You register the player with your club first day.
Then the player is assigned to a league, cup competitions etc.
Surely if it wasn’t allowed as Jason says you can’t register in two different leagues Connect should stop the player being registered in both leagues?
Or is there a loop hole as you are playing up with your own club?

I know for years if you have two teams in Aul you can bring second team players up like coachford and Grattan have done this year but if them players play 5 games they have to stay with first team then but I’m certain Castleview come into that bracken cause their teams or in different leagues.

Same in the Leinster Senior League, also a player who hasn't played 5 Senior games can play a Junior game.

12th man it’s just unfortunate for other teams in Castleview league but who wouldn’t use it if they could it’s great advantage to have through out the season you’ll always be able to field strong team so it’s handy asset to have.

That’s it. You can’t blame any team for making the most of an advantage like that when they can.

So we are now complaining that we’ll run clubs with underage set ups and multiple adult teams are the problem and not the clubs that appear and disappear as fast!
Having a successful club and team is knowing the rule book and knowing how to use it to advantage when it’s to be used.
If your looking for a friendly game of soccer book an astro and have a game a 5 side.
Congratulations to Castleview on collecting team of the month, now that ye have had a small bit of success ye are open to be slaughtered by the foot.ie cork aul forum

Dr you seem to need a check up.
You have posted your opinion telling all to understand the rule book.
The AUL is the AUL, the MSL is the MSL ,,,,,,,you can't play in both. That's all the previous posters were saying.
That's all this was ever about, comfirming that this was indeed the correct assumption.
Really don't know where your coming from saying people are being negative.
Not fair either running down the AUL forum, a lot of posters are very positive about the clubs , teams an players in the Aul.

Another hiccup for Los zarco’s this morning up in Grattan. They seemed to be tipping along nicely until last week. Anyone know what the story is. Great weekend all round for Grattan, huge result away to UCC this morning.
Lads yer fierce bitter here, how can ye complain about players getting called up senior? They’re signed junior it’s not like they’re signed senior and dropping down. Look in the whole league there’s other teams who have players that could probably play senior, I didn’t see any message about that and what advantage is it to the junior team if their players are being called up senior?

I never told anyone understand the rule book, you missed my point. My point was FairPlay to a team or club who can use it to their advantage.
And my post was congratulating a team on winning team of the month how can you find that negative.

I think not , it's a bit of boys acting like kids.
Some of this is embarrassing.
The FAI says you can't be registered in 2 leagues at the same level,,,,,but in Cork ,,,,,,,that dose not seem to appl.
You did say for all to read the rule book.
The rule book clearly states you can't play both at the same times .
We all bascially understand ya can't play in 2 different leagues at the same time.
There's none of us that thick.
So again,,,,,are you missing something

Nice 1,a few other games were off this weekend I see also.
In fairness I wouldnt blame them after the travel, think something similar happened on their own pitch against grattan a few weeks back.
I thought we'd get a full list of fixtures played out this weekend given the lack of rain.
Here's hoping for next week!

Play it out
04/12/2023, 8:45 AM
Lads here are toxic to any team doing well this season at any point. Castleview are the next target. Yes, you are allowed play AUL and Senior, you can play 4 games, the 5th an you regrade to Senior. This has been the case for a very long time and people should know. It was far more common years ago when senior teams had more junior teams in AUL instead of MSL.
Castleview won Team of the Month, free night of pints Friday, that's why game was off Saturday. Should Greenwood have been involved in the change? Yes. Not Castleview's end decision, leagues.

Senior football and junior football are different grades so maybe this is how castleview can use players in both. The AUL rule book just says that a player can’t play in different leagues at the same grade. So castleview couldn’t have players representing them them in AUL and junior level in the MSL.
33. Registered in Different Leagues
a) No player can be registered in different leagues in the same grade at the one time.
b) No player can play in different leagues in the same grade without being properly transferred.
34. Participation in non-affiliated Association Football Leagues
a) Any player who participates in a non-affiliated association football league is not eligible to participate in any AUL competitions for the current season unless he gets written clearance from the AUL management committee.

Case closed so, Castleview AUL team players can play MSL senior team but not the MSL Junior team.....
Should be a good crowd at the game tonight, should be a good game with 3 seniors available....

They played very well to be fair Donoghue was sublime in the middle he won that battle and he was involved in 2 of the goals, he used be all mouth to the referees. Murphy has a left foot like no other he’s a real asset to them if he stays with them and the lad on the left was like he was on a moped once he got the ball running at the defenders. They’re a great side to watch. The AOH is where they’ll be tested coming up against the big boys in the premier.

Danny is excellent that why he’s in senior team good enough all day long agree to with Stuart great left foot and good player to but big boys of premier disagree with ya there Aulstar I thought at start of season Ucc would be team to watch with the amount of players available to them but seen um twice the backline is terrible castleview front men will tear um apart all day long Grattan battered um Sunday and great had 2 players under 35 I’m sure big season ahead for View I think fair play to them.

Was talking to ucc manager johnny yesterday in work, he told me they were well beaten it could of easily been 4 or 5 nil they had 1 half chance but said were well beaten, he wasnt happy with the way they performed on the day with poor individual mistakes but conceded better team won on the day.

Going by grattans own review of the game it was a very tight affair and their keeper made a wonder save to deny UCC. In your head though Grattan battered the students so much that might never set foot on a pitch again from the embarrassment of it all. They might even pack in their studies and go on the dole it was such a battering.
