This, remember, is the same Pat Dolan who felt Trappatoni should have Evan McMillan playing for Ireland.

Brolly is a good signing and McMonagle will add to your options but if you think your 2 current keepers are bad why on earth would anyone sign McGinley he's dirt

Shaun Patton has come in and done very well for a young lad. Im not sure if Conor Winn is leaving or if it's just a case of adding another keeper to the roster bearing in mind the Under 17's, Under 19's, USL and 1st teams are all in action over the summer.

Athlone are signing left-back Stephen Dunne from Pats 19s.

John Mulroy is training with the Club again following a pre-season injury, and is expected to sign on July 1st.

Also a new 'keeper on the way, Ryan Coulter; he has been on scholarship in the US for past few years.

A few other players are being looked at.

Conor McMahon has left the Club due to work commitments.

Super player if he can get his head right.

From a few lads on orielweb who went he didn't look that great and/ or interested; slack passing, rarely tracked back and his fitness wasn't great. Agree 100% on what you said though, looked a good prospect coming up, it's make or break time for him at this stage in his career. If he does sign hopefully Towell or a few of the other lads rub off on him (not in that way though! :D) with regards to application, professionalism, looking after yourself etc. On that side of things I haven't seen a team of ours do that as well in manys a year, which is often underrated, it's a big part of how well we're doing since SK came in.

People are over-reacting to the amount of strikers we've signed. Rafter got injured for the season during pre-season, and Elding got injured in the first game of the season and hardly featured before he was released, and now we've signed a couple of strikers in this window to replace them. We have had two fit senior strikers since about 60 minutes into the first game of the season up until the break, one of whom is making the step up from the U19s.

I was being facetious, but you have to admit O'Sullivan, Morrissey, O'Flynn and Morrison would be a difficult balancing act, especially with guys like Lehane, Kearney and Dennehy who can also play in what is basically three positions on the field.
