I wouldn't want to see us sign him cos I don't really rate the guy as a goal scorer.
Well his goals vs apps stats bear that out but the role he has played in the present system has not seen him over burdened with chances to squander either to be fair. Unless you have seen him elsewhere ?

He said on Twitter that he can't say much about what's going on but just thanked the fans for a great support he got since he signed no matter what happens.

Why are Rovers looking for a striker given that they have the celebrated international, Zayed, on their books?
Charlie Darwin

Because having bought all the midfielders last season and barely played any of them, Croly has decided to let all the midfielders go and just sign all the strikers this year and drop them so he can play Boccer and Shane Robinson instead.

Rovers under Croly are a lot like Pats under Buckley.
In our first season under Buckley we drew a lot of games and just lacked the goals to win games, Rovers seemed to be the same last year
and in our second season we started poorly enough but got a few 1-0 wins and creeped back up the table which Rovers have done this season.
We didn't have a huge squad but some players you wouldn't expect to do well came in and played a massive part in winning the title when they were called upon
Croly is a bit more negative than Buckley but Rovers are doing well.

Third would be a very good finish this year I think. Sligo are probably too far behind to challenge for the title but they'll have a good shot at third, as will Cork. Dundalk and Pats are probably 10% better than anyone else.

You're just saying that because the mean boy kicked Chris Fagan. Cork are a good side and have a couple of good players to come back - they'll be in the top five come the end of the season, and the last few years tell us that means you're not far off a European spot.

He's a very mean boy indeed. They might but, assuming their gate revenue is miles ahead of expectations, they'll be looking to get somebody good in in Elding's place in July and could be a surprise.

Enda Curran was in Deacy Park last night at the Galway v Harps game. Telling folk he's been released by Derry supposedly. Although Peter Hutton has said he was meant to be in Cork last night with the Derry team and didn't turn up.

Pats are already the league top scorers
Christy Fagan, Conán Byrne and Chris Forrester have about 20 goals between them already - that's more then any team outside the top four have in total in the league so far.

Have Pats completely lost faith in Quigley now? Is he on a one year contract with yourselves? Can't see that been extended, and I'd say you might like to offload his high wages in the summer, but who would take him on his form this season?
I think he peaked at Dundalk (2011) and Sligo (2012), seems to be a terrible waste of talent now, which is such a shame.

The season at Sligo was more like half a season.
The 2011 season was the last good full season he played.

It was only six games he missed. The whole 'he only came good when North got injured' tripe is a total myth too.

He's been disrupted by injuries so far this season but nearly every game he's played he's been a total waster, just walking around not looking interested at all.
I have to say I fell for his 'this is my last chance' stuff he was saying before the start of the season and thought he would do really well this season but I'd get rid of him now if we had the chance.

Assuming that he has only a 1 season contract with Pats, his options for a lucrative contract for next season will greatly diminish unless he gets his season going quickly.
If his bridges are burned at Pats and Rovers, there is little prospect of him getting a decent wedge without leaving Dublin again.

Philip Lowry to sign for us from Linfield apparently, also rumoured to be in for his brother Stephen Lowry at Coleraine and Anthony Elding

If your in for Elding then things must be desperate.
Elding's had 4 clubs in his youth career & another 18 in his senior career.

Pat Fenlon has been strongly linked to a director of football position at Limerick FC. The former Bohs and Shelbourne manager – who won five League of Ireland titles before being headhunted by Hibs in 2011 – has been out of work since leaving Easter Road last November.

Between that and appointing a club ambassador to Germany last week it's easy to understand why the playing budget was slashed this season...

Karl Sheppard looks certain to move. Dundalk, St Pat's and Sligo Rovers (http://searchtopics.independent.ie/topic/Sligo_Rovers) are all interested in the striker, but Rovers will not sell to a title rival. Limerick seem his likeliest destination; Cork City (http://searchtopics.independent.ie/topic/Cork_City) are also contenders for his signature.

Why would I be outraged? People have written us off since the start of the season. We more than likely have a smaller budget than the other teams mentioned apart from Limerick.
