They are not the fittest themselves...but only a few teams seem to be in fairness. We had 10 men for the second half against them and basically had all the possession. Without scoring.:D They seemed happy to stay back and defend and only had a few breaks in the whole half where two or three men got forward. The rest stayed back.

It will be different out on their own pitch though as its not too big and not as much space to cover so suits them. Usually very tough to beat out there.

Think you said that when we tanked ye up there last year too..!!

Reckon it will be tough but expect us to come home with 3 points .
I've just got this feeeling about us in the home stretch. I think the Cals win is after giving us a huge boost and I fancy us to put a good run together. We've lost a lot of very close games by the odd goal this season, and with a bit more luck could have won half those games. But we changed all that against Cals and I think we can turn over you lads. We'll see Sunday. Hopefully it'll be like it is today, beautiful day for football.

actually the norm is,and regulations are that ifa team has fulfilled have of its fixtures, then those results stand and teams are then awarded the points from their remaining fixtures. Cant see it happening though, with fair view being the only ones to benefit wit getting six points.

Rules are rules and if thats the case well they should stand....
Its not Fairview's fault that both times they were fixtured to play Shels that it was called off.

We won't be playing on the A pitch again this season I reckon. Few reasons really, but main one being that Pitch two is in incredible nick. Plus it suits us way better than the larger A pitch.

Cause Pike B has never scored when playing the main pitch so to give them a chance they have to play on the second pitch :D

Shels out. Any team that still have to play them get the points and all their matches that have been played stay as is.
Murroe got the points last weekend.
they have bout 2 weeks to appeal to munster council
also one player banned for 2 yrs and another 2 players 6 mths each. all ex distillery

its a bit hard on the rest of the lads there can they play with any other teams this year?

I don't think they can Monk old son, which is a real shame for some of their more well behaved lads.
I've said it before and I'll say it once more, they have some very very good footballers out there, just too many bad eggs ruined it.
A real shame.

What does this mean for relegation from 1B?
Is it Shels plus whoever finishes last being relegated to Div 2A?

I presume its Shels and one other that go down cos otherwise they would have to bring three up from 2A and the same would go on down the divisions.

well if shells get to keep the points they have they wont be caught by the the teams at the end of the table so wont go down, so unless they have been relegated as part of there punishment they will stay 1b for next season. but if the are relegated does it not make sense to give all teams the points lost to shells in games they won. And will that change the top of the table any...... the pikes might just have a lifeline:eek:

No i doubt Shels will be relegated. they will defnitely kick up a major fuss if they try to relegate them. being thrown out of the league is punishment enough. they will keep the points they have and play again in 1B next season i would say
