Any news PIke B when blackie is back it looks like ye are really missing him ?
:D :D :D......
Yes James is on the road to recovery and will be back with us within the next month or so. He's a very valuble squad member, and I know for a fact that a few of our lads miss his prescence in the dressing room!! He'll be pushing hard for a start in midfield, so Jaffa, Arthur and Co. would want to be on their toes...

You heard right, Jaf, Darren and Stuie back, aswell as Rob. Still though, Blackie would be rated as high with Dober as Jaffa would with Tommy. Higher maybe. A fit Blackie will probably start for us, in my opinion of course, but I'm not the manager!!

Ya i play a bit in the nightowls league for freddys, Blackie played with us a few games last year with darren, Blackie was very good for us he run all day for us and good on the ball. We tried to get him to play this year but he said he got injured badly... Do you think ye will stay up this year ?

Im sure the money he's getting out there will compensate for not playing premier soccer, after all the money he got from limerick and pike and now park, fair play to him anyway, nice money if u can get it! Its some thing they need anyway cos wot i saw of them was that they were very soft, davy will add seriously to their team without doubt, the best header of a ball iv ever seen.
Thomas Daly heads the ball further then some people kick it

I think he meant quality of header, rather than distance :D..
Best header of a ball I've seen was Tommy Shan(legend) followed closley by Colm Enright.

Totally agree,he will be an excellent addition to our team, alot of experience and can help us get back on track,if he was player /manager i dont think he would have always played himself, with a player like that we need him as much as we can on the pitch.
there is no reason Davy would not play himself. I don't think he went to park to retire. i think you would be better off having him as player manager with another on the sidelines to assist than keeping mr finnan (if the stories i am hearing are true).
If you get Dukes also it would do you the world of god. but maybe too later to mount a promotion challenge.

18 games left. I think they could draw 5 and win the rest. That would see them up..

with regards to caherdavin celtic, they have been on a steady slide for the past 5 seasons. always had good players but the people who run the club are a joke, treat the players like dirt. for the last 2 or 3 seasons they have only been getting 10 or 11 players turning up on sundays for games. at least 5 of their best players dropped a division or 2 to get away from it and enjoy their football, for example at least 5 of their best players joined athlunkard who play excellent football, another few joined coonagh, corbally and shels. i'm an ex player myself, was with them for 12 years since under 8's and left 3 years ago, will never go back as long as the people running it stay, although i have great respect for Karl Meehan who is now manager, great player/coach and a nice guy. best of luck to him.
in this division i'd be very wary of cals, they seem to be goin places after years hangin around 2A and 2B

We were very poor in the first half, again shipping two soft goals. This is becoming an unhappy knack with us. Giving opposition a head start, but take nothing away from Knockainey, they started stronger and deserved their lead. In the second half we were twice the team that started. We dominated the whole second half, scoring one and missing a penalty aswell.

This is keith o donnells 1st season back with caherdavin in years.Dont get me started on fahy.As far as i see caherdavin were terrible last year because most of their good players left and they had no direction.Corky said he'd sort it and ****ed off.Karl Meehan's back because he doesn't want to see the club go under i suppose. How are caherdavin supposed to attract players when their pitch is atrocious and facilities are as bad.Until they get these sorted it'll always be the same caherdavin players going back trying to help out their club.

Who told you that?He was there about 3/4 weeks before the league started and thought no-one would be training elsewhere.there wouldn't have been a caherdavin team if paul neville hadn't stepped in.He got sent off about 2-3 times in the opening games and he was meant to be manager.

ok mr "on the ball" you're gettin fairly heated on the ole caherdavin debate! athlunkard beat caherdavin in pre-season this year. i'm tellin ya they'll struggle in 1B unless they sign some players. just because they were in 1A for so long doesn't mean that much, they've never been premier, never even got close. even herbertstown made it!!! they'll probably survive this season with players like fudge carryin the team. and if you look closely (more closely than you have), then you will see there are players from caherdavin playing for wembley, athlunkard, shels, coonagh, corbally and many more. they don't even have any minor teams and they haven't had a b team in 5 or 6 years until this season. i think that's a bit of a slide

They were 3-1 up on wembley 2 years ago and fair enough, threw it away themselves.Wembley went up that year,if caherdavin had won i guarantee they wouldve gone premier.Caherdavin beat shannon and summerville in pre-season friendlies,1 being just relegated from premier so you cant talk about friendlies.what im sayin is,theres so many very good caherdavin players playin elsewhere or not playin that maybe its the terrible facilities and pitches that is drivin players away.Maybe if they change these you'd see a change.Rant over

Caherdavin were never in the title chase that year lads. Summerville topped the division thanks to a string of consistant 4-0 wins week after week for most of the season. Wembley promoted from 2nd place. Bruff and Shannon Town finished up level points third & 4th, but well out of reach of the other two (their last two fixtures were never even played cos the season was effectively over with promotion/relagation places decided). Trust me, I remeber it well because it Bruff's best season ever :)

and ye seem to forget that last season caherdavin finished with 3 points from 22 games. this season that wont happen because they have a go0d manager but in saying that, this division will be very hard to get out of. it'll take caherdavin 3 or 4 years to get back to where they were a few years ago attempting promotion to the premier. i would love to see them do well as im from caherdavin myself and played 12 years with them. for the size of caherdavin and the amount of good players there, they should be a premier team and have a b and a c team, but you ask anyone in caherdavin why they left and they'll all tell you the same thing, the club is run by a bunch of idiots who treat the players like dirt.
