Well Said Pike B...Had a look at the premier thread...oh my God they are unreal....!!
Lets throw out a topic...of the teams in 1B are there many players that have only played with their current club or are there many journey men? Lets see the "Loyalty Card" on the table...
Pa Hall - Caherdavin ? Years.....?
Well from my own perspective, I first signed for Pike from Granville aged 11. I went back to Granville for a season at 16, then again for half a season at 24. Other than a season and a half I've been with Pike for 15 years. Not bad really.
In our B team there is nobody who has a non stop record for the club, except the manager. A few had until they went to Hill Celtic for a few seasons, but returned. ;)
Players with over ten years with the Hoops, now with the B team would be: Kieran Stewart, (over10) Darren Duffy(over10), Robert Sheehy(over10), Richard Meehan(around10), Alan Mc Namara(over10), Myself(over10) and Adrian Lipper(over20).
I defineatly agree with you Over the hedge no one team (and i dont care who they sign or not) in this division is untouchable:cool:.....this is a very hard division and every game is a cup final...if you are very lucky, most Sundays you can put out your best 11 but i think its the same for all teams there are 21st, weddings, anniversaries etc etc etc on Saturday night and you cant get the boys up on Sunday morning....:mad:
But we will struggle on and have a better idea in March what way things are going....
still sticking to my guns knockmad on knock for the title, solid in all positions with good cover on the line, not many in this division to take points from you :cool:

Your like a dog with a bone. Do you have anything at all of intrest to say, besides Knockainey will win the league? We all heard you the fourteenth time. I tell you what, if they do win it, I'll have a whip round off all the boys and send you a big shiny trophy. How's that grab you?

If you read it, it's very easy to see why. Nothing to do with football, all whinging and moaning. I just hope they stay gone.

Thats exactly it. Limerick premier league is very interesting at the moment too, Why cant they just ban certain members from posting on it?

Ah right to opinion and all that crap. They can't ban people for little snide remarks, so they get away with it. It's a small minority as usual talking rubbish, putting down other clubs. It's all very stupid really. I look at it every so often and it's just gone downhill, the moderator got sick of it and that's that. Anyway, back to football, as it should be.

I remember playing under 10's with George O Keefe at Granville. His brother Alan, might have played with Granville too I think. At under age level. A hell of a lot of players around the town started with Granville. They've been a great producing club, but always found it hard keeping players. If they had half those players, they'd be up there with Pike, Fairview, Boro and Balla.

I think he played in that super team with my cousin Billy Tynan. From what I remember, they had a great team.

the memory must not be the best Pike B! I remember smacking them 5-0 at Childers Road in the FAI Minors with Carew Park. I remember scoring two peaches where KFC is now! :) Ah the memories........

I scored a nice few goals myself on that pitch. I still feel strange passing there and seeing all them shops. Having said that, it was an awful bloody pitch!!

Funniest episode I can remember is training one Tuesday night, the under11's team we had that won the top league. We had Brian O Callaghan, Paul Harmon, Andrew Fitzgibbon, James Mc Dermot, a really good side. Anyway, we're training away when a couple of natives around 12or13 years old start getting smart and trying to disrupt or session. Well if he did, our manager kicked one of them straight up the arse and drove him about three feet in the air!! He scattered off home crying. It was priceless!! Ah the good old days! :D Wouldn't get that in KFC!!

the original 2A thread was a joke pedigree. it should've been called the "kennedy park thread" because that's all anyone talked about. just people messin and rising people into arguments. anyway i reckon the new thread is going to improve things.
anyway with regards to 2A, very open league, very hard to call. and 1B is similar, very tough division, can't see janesboro B team goin up to 1A

i just think they will fall away when they play some tough away games. they will be strong at home. might finish 3rd or 4th. that's just my opinion
