Well, just from looking back on this thread, it looks like Cals have played 6 games- they have won 2 lost 2 and drawn 2- and would be on 8 points no? I think Fairview and Knockainey have only played 5??

Murroe v Cals
As pegleg said murroe went ahead in first half with a well taken goal,
but Cals dominated possession from then on without producing any clear cut chances. Murroe probably looked more dangerous on the break to be fair.

Cals have a few tall players without being that good in the air. Had a few corners frees etc without getting any efforts on goal.

Great wins for caherdavin and shelbourne, puts them back in the mix again.

To answer the quiet 1's question, keith O'Donnell is back playing with Caherdavin after a very bad injury and playing well too.(I think he may have played with Shelbourne last year)

Must say Caherdavin played well on Sunday. Battled harder for every ball and the class of Fudge was a pleasure to watch. Took both his goals superbly, in particular the first. Coonagh second best to every ball. Turning out to be the same as last season for us with good performances one game and then brutal the next. We have only ourselves to blame, very poor in all areas.

My above table is the same as last nights local, who has the same reporter as the Limerick scoccer website.

I think one of Cals games was abbandoned during the season!!!

We'll just wait and see what it says on the Limerick soccer website when the tables are updated and take it from there!!!

Reckon it will be a drab affair in greenhills on that pich...draw all over it...
Park should come good at home but only a draw with a good Clas side.
Surprise of weekend should see coonagh return to winning ways after the hammering from Caherdavin...Even though Murrowe are flying..

Sneeking suspicion that Bruff will nick it over the View at home.

Just back from a trip to Anfield. So only checking this thread today for first time in a week. Bit surprised with Coonagh. 3-0 is a bad beat. Murroe must be strong this season as the win against Cals was a good one. We played a decent Shels side last Sunday and were not able to cope with them. They pulled away 5-2 and only a bit of fighting spirit got us back into the game. At 5-4 we hit the bar but in the end gave ourselves way too much to do. Well done Shels. They have 3 or 4 very good players and the rest battle hard. Best for us Rob Sheedy and Alan Mc.

agree with your predictions except for the caherdavin v coonagh game. should be a cracking game, big local darby, caherdavin will be up for that one, home win 3-1
good prediction by myself for the caherdavin v coonagh game!!! just knew they'd beat coonagh, much better team on the day i heard. don't know why some people on this thread are surprised because caherdavin are capable of beating every team in this division. kinda hard to predict a winner of this division, surely murroe will slip up at some stage...

Self praise and all that..;)

Murroe were a poor side last year and were in the relegation battle most of the season before pulling away with a month to spare. They have obviously added to their squad and going on results so far, there's no reason to suggest they won't be up there in the shake up come the season's end.

Agree with you Pike B ...... I would however expect Coonagh to bounce back from that defeat with a hard fought win...

Reckon though matches may fall foul of the weather...

Big game in Parks season...they have to start getting points....

Very true. I am actually hoping that the few teams down there keep losing, as we are not exactly miles ahead of them at the moment. We need a win or two ourselves, but as we all keep saying, this is a tough division.

saw murroe last year 3 times, very average alright. haven't seen them this year but they've had some excellent results and at the moment they are the in-form team in the division. lotta country teams seem to be goin well this season, takin things more seriously. hospital and pallas top of 2A, caherconlish and knocklong top of 2B.

predictions for sunday (weather permitting) :

park 2 cals 1
caherdavin 1 knockainey 0
coonagh 1 murroe 1
fairview 2 bruff 0

Hes not at the moments. Hes out until January with an ankle injury but I watched park play Knockainey on Sunday and they were by far the better team. Could easily have been 5 or 6 nil but just couldnt put the ball in the net. To me it looks like the team is lacking confidence and are just looking to get that first win out of the way.
