Does anyone have any idea what is the outcome of the whole shels situation is. Who gets points and who doesn't. Nobody seems to know whats going on.

Only really affects the underage teams which is a balls for them. Having to find somewhere they can play their matches or getting new goals is going to be tough. It won't affect the A or B team barr maybe an eyesore at the games. Also a match did go ahead there sunday afternoon, Caherdavin b v Cappamore B.

They have appealed a decision by the LDMC to the Munster council and await a response from same regarding the situation.

This may take a few weeks, during which time Shelbourne will not play any fixtures.

would it be worth canvasing clubs to see if anyone had any spare equipment to give them on loan until the end of season ?
It would show some support for them.

Bad old dig for Caherdavin alright, are the full size goals ok though? The seniors will need what, nets, flags, line painter..jays, they were really hit hard. Back to the days of U 12's getting changed under trees et al..

Its not going to affect the A and B teams as far as nets, goals, flags are concerned. There is another cabin there for getting changed in too. Its the underage teams it will really affect.

covered in depth already - results of games played stand. remaining fixtures 3pts to opposition.
Only way all teams could get 6pts would be if shels had played less than half their fixtures which is not the case (afaik)

Knockainey beat Holycross last evening lads 2-1 if anyone interested
cant understand how Holycross are in the league position as they have great heart, some good players and a good vocal manager who knows what hes is talking about. They were able to play football for some long periods of time and had us under pressure for some periods in the second half. Their centre half was outstanding. good win for us we need to push on from here now.

It was the best evening ever (or for as long as i can remember, it says a lot for summer soccer) pitch was in good nick but i must say what a pain every shot, every throw in you are following the ball under the fense, over the tree, behind the whatever, you seem to follow the ball and waste more time trying to retreive it than actually playing soccer.

yes as far as we all know......interesting times ahead...if they win their appeal it will send shocks in some teams if two teams are to be relegated and not as we think one with Shels.........:D

Just to let you know.Fairview had 2 games called off against Shels. Both games were called off out in their pitch and both teams were warmed up and ready to play. One was called off over the snow we had and the other was called off because the keepers box was damp and that was the referee's decision.
Fairview arent to blame.

Holycross 1-2 Janesboro

Boro came out on top in this one this morning, playing with the wind Boro raced into a 2 goal lead,Thomas McInerney crossing (yes crossing:eek:) for Paul O'Donoghue to nod in at the back post,Tom then scored our second minutes later,we took our foot off the pedal and Holycross got back in the game,a mix up in defence allowed the home team in for a soft goal,1-2 at HT
With the wind in their favour Holycross pumped long ball after long ball into our box but Pa Maloney and Trevor McInerney dealt with everything that came at them,Mark Purcell made a fantastic save to keep us in the lead and had to be alert moments later, super reactions from the seasoned keeper:D after he saw the ball late,Holycross piled on the pressure in the last few minutes but to no avail, best for Boro Mark Purcell,Trevor McInerney and Thomas McInerney

the real deal
