Re Drom, depends if you count the players, management, ref and those who are playing in the cages. Horse racing Ireland do this as it gives a more impressive figure and helps insure they keep the 60millon euro grant they get from the state every year for their sport/industry. I was there for the 2nd half; I would say there was about 100 looking at the game including stewards, subs etc and those playing the 5 a sides at the back. The chairman of the league was also in attendance. Approx 25 from Longford there?

Thought it was a bigger crowd than that when I walked along the length of the Jodi just before start of 2nd half

Nice to see a decent crowd back at Oriel. Dalymount as well had a good number in (maybe the kids in free not included in official), Pats find it difficult to break the 2k barrier.

Was going to say I thought it was a smaller crowd! But then I always forget what the Jodi holds...

Yeah that figure came out after the game, most people who were at the game very surprised by it. I'd say it was over the 2k mark myself. A good crowd, nice to see.

LOL. Wouldn't fit 400 people around that pitch unless they were up over the bog.

628 at RSC according to Donegal News.

Would have thought there was much more than that myself. Figured in around 800 or so. Although, of course, I can't really judge a ground I've only been to 6 or 7 times. About 40 or 50 Harps fans in that too.

2064 in Richmond so I was told anyways.

Great crowd for us, Drogs had a few hundred too.

1200?

Would have hazard a guess at that.

It was a decent enough crowd from what I could see anyway.

So for the PD based on above its an avg of 1,874 waiting for Limerick game tomorrow. Read somewhere they are hoping for 5,000 (really ?) if they did it would push the avg up to almost 2,400.

Wow, that's seriously impressive. They reported 347 for the first game at Terryland last year. I was initially against the decision to deny GUST entry but football seems in Galway seems to just be going from strength to strength without them!

Fran Gavin seems to think we will have between 5,000-10,000.

Weather is ****e at the moment so it's an excuse for a lot to watch it on telly.

I'd guess 2,500 being cautious.

In all fairness though the Cobh match was a bit of a novelty with it being their first match back.

That's true but at least Cobh set a marker and put in a top performance for the crowd bagging 5 goals. Surely that's going to bring the majority back for more.

I missed the Cobh result last night, that's a terrific start for them and the crowd of 824 is a good base to start with as I wouldn't imagine that there were many away fans.

Welcome back Cobh.

Being at the game, as just mentioned in another thread, it seemed like much more than that. The kick-off should've been delayed by half an hour to allow supporters in. It won't put me off as I've seen it with the GAA but it'll put some off if it's not sorted.

Moved from Friday to Saturday because of the rugby didnt suit us and people dont have the money to attend games one night after the other. All clubs in the area pull from the same pot whatever the sport.

The attendance had to have been more. There's no way that they could have counted the away fans either. Myself and the 3 people I went with are certainly not included in that figure. Imagine only printing 300 tickets for the away section!? What were they thinking?? Things were about to get ugly outside the ground until Tiktok showed up :-D
