I think 3K is an excellent attendance at Tallaght when you factor in the day and Shams league position never mind that it was the second game of the weekend there.

944 in Drogheda. Shocking, considering there must have been at least 200+ Pat's fans in the away stand from that Brennan video posted in the other thread.
Most of the stand was Pats fans too. I'd say about 400 pats fans in total

1851 is actually decent for a Monday.
Do you think so? Maybe in the context of the league as a whole but I think it's extremely disappointing for a local derby on a bank holiday.
It's clear that the attendance was affected by our results and performances to date. Taking an average of the Pats game and the Limerick game, we have dropped almost 1000 people since the start of the season, and we're just shy of 2 months in.
I dread to think what our attendances could be like come October with Dunne still at the helm.

Microsoft Excel tells me it's 1065. I trust the mathematics of a computer. There were less teams last season, which makes last seasons average higher.
The formula you have in excel is wrong so. It looks like you're taking the Prem Average and 1st Div average and averaging those. That will only work if there have been the same number of matches in each Division, otherwise the number will be skewed.
Just take your figure for the Overall attendance and divide that by the number of matches that have been played.

Strangely, confusing, yet makes sense. I was never good at maths. It does make things look a lot better, and it means I'll have to adjust last seasons overall too!

I know so.
heres a comparable example.
Last season our average was somewhat higher than this season so far, fair to say?
On the 13th of August we played St. Pats. A bigger draw than Limerick would be. Our attendance was 2159.
The following Monday, 20th of August we played Drogheda, 1392.
1851 on a Monday is a good turnout. Thats before you factor in the fact that we had two home games in 4 days. People can't afford to go to two games in such a short space of time.
I know I didn't see you there.

I know I didn't see you there.
Maybe I was hiding behind you :o
I guess we'll see how the rest of the season pans out attendance-wise for us, anyhow. Although that Drogs game was a good bit further down the fixture list, it's worrying to see such a drop 2 months in.

The usual chaos before the games. Dundalk fans heading to the ticket booths only to be told that they should pay at the turnstile.
Same thing happened Rovers fans up there last year. They never told us we could pay at gates and left just one turnstile open right up to kick-off. Gave paying adults kids tickets from the previous game too.
Utter, utter disgrace. I sent a strongly worded email to both the FAI and Shamrock Rovers FC while I queued. No reply of course. Shambles.

Not that bad. Shame the camera in Tallaght usually faces the half-empty stand. Similar problem with Turner's Cross cos the camera faces the small Derrynane stand which is often sparsely populated instead of the main Donie Forde stand.

The Dublin derby between Pats and Shamrock R should bring out a big crowd on tuesday night. I was at the last derby in Inichore v Bohs and it was a poor attendance;well under 1500, hope the Dublin soccer public come out for what could be a good game. Pats did not do a reduced price for students that night which was dissappointing as clubs should really try get more young people/students to come to their games as that is often the stage of life that people get attached/hooked to the game or team.

City vs Glentoran was only that low because the St Anne's was closed for redevelopment. It sold out fairly quickly.

I wouldn't bet on it. Pats-Rovers game in Richer are always midweek games for some reason (obviously there's a reason this time) and it's never as good as it should be, especially if the weather is poor. There's no direct bus, lest we forget.

It's obviously higher when we play bigger games. A Rovers or nowadays a Sligo game gets more than a UCD or Bray game. If it was on a Friday I'd expect closer to 2,000 Pats fans.

The weather tonight was shocking, a gale force wind across the field and lashing rain for about 80% of the game. Raining pretty much all day too so im still happy with the crowd. After the performance tonight though I can see it only being similar against Sligo Friday week and maybe 500-600 if lucky on Monday against Waterford.

Watching the highlights on MNS on Monday, Limerick didn't bring an awful lot to Cork last week.
talking tru your ass mate.
No, the pictures didn't lie, not a lot of ye there, stuffed way up the corner, yes I would have estimated about 100-150 of ye but seen as though ye are holding your own this year and its YOUR derby this season, would have thought a few more would have travelled to Turners Cross.

Looks like more than 100-150 there. That's at the end of the match too with a few after leaving.

as opposed to what other team who visited turneres cross brought crowds that wernt into one corner? a team who spent the last 20 years in the graveyard suddenly has 250 fans travlleing to an away game? your clear lack of knowledge of attendences in this league show ur talking through your posterior
