Ya pretty sure the window closed the 22nd. Loan deals surely allowed as the player is still technically under contract with his original club. Loan deals happen in England right through the season as far as I know.

They can have him - tried a fast one in Sligo and got caught out. Prossied himself all over England during the off season and failed to get a club. We are overflowing with midfielders anyway so he can either sign or f**k off as far as I'm concerned.

Calling BS on that one, it was Burger King he was spotted in not supermacs and was sharing a large whopper meal and strawberry milkshake with Danny Ventre and Kalen Spillane so get your facts right.

His contract was always set to expire at the end of the season with them. He said its up in June and he is hoping to sign on with ourselves for at least the rest of the season.

edit: I suppose Rochdale still own his registration so they just loaned him until June.

Ya he is on loan to us, always was announced that he was signed on loan from Rochedale. He has been asked by a few people over in England was he coming back to Chester (who he was on loan to before us) and he said he is loving it here so is hoping to sign up with us permanently if a deal can be done.

The spelling of the former Shelbourne managers name was debated in depth on Twitter earlier believe it or not? :(
Shels website also went with - "Alan ' MATTHEWS ' Resigns" but have since amended his surname to 'Mathews' .

He was at Derry v Cork City last Friday night alright so he's in those parts. Would be a great signing for Harps.

Peter Hutton confirmed with a local newspaper that O'Flynn is training with the club.
Nothing concrete yet, but he's in having a look at the club, and the club are having a look at him with a view to signing.

Enda Curran and Derek O'Brien to Athlone from Salthill apparently.
Was thinking the other day that Curran would be a player I'd like to see us sign. Definitely too good for Salthill anyway.

They are 3 good signings by Athlone, Curran has good potential at 1st divison level especially if he works harder at his game.

Was told that a Mervue official said that no matter what happens this season both Mervue and Salthill are leaving the league and going to the Connacht League

Guitd will know more about it than me but I would be astonished if either drop out mid-season considering Eamon Naughton has bent himself out of shape to get their votes. Don't see them being around after this season all right, but they can forget about a sweetener if they jump overboard mid-season.

We'll soon see in the coming weeks I suppose. There's talk of a bit of a clear-out of players at Finn Park to make room for a signing or two, so time will tell.
I've no idea how true or false that is however, a lot of rumours going about here.

Sure he only retired a couple of months ago, I doubt he'd have gotten his rebate yet.

He might prefer to have the money now or shortly rather than picking up a small amount each week playing for Harps. He play with still perhaps play with Harps Reserves in the USL as an amateur.

He told me he got his tax back. Try read what im quoting next time it may be helpful.
