thats it though isn't it,you'll find a lot of lads turn up for friendlies with various teams just to play a match,
Forms are out since last week i think so have many lads signed up for teams, have teams that were in 1a last year kept the bulk of last years squad?

good point, a lot of lads just want to get game time, so as the season draws nearer are peoples opinion changed as to how they reckon the league will end up, will star be as strong as people said?

heard pa hasnt committed to anyone yet so he may stay yet, have summerville replaced any of the lads that left? i reckon it'll be tight in 1A this year especially since nobody knows what kind of teams the so called stronger sides'll have, could well be a couple of surprises!!

Summerville will not be pushing for promotion this season. 6-8 players of this seasons team will be made up of last years B team, which barely survived 2A.

If they finish mid table this season they'll be delighted.

;)star will be strong but so will other teams. think if you win all your home games and try pick up away from home any team will be able to push still think star will take 1st or 2nd with balla or mungret pushing. dont think many teams going to get many points off star in lee estate

I just think that maybe compared to a couple of years back when star won 1A fairly handy that there isnt the same team there, with better fitness that team could have done much better in prem then they did in my opinion, maybe that was down to a poor attitude!but your right, star are always tough to play down in lee estate

WHat will Stars back line be this season?

If they can tighten up at the back, they should win 1A i think

Star haven't officially lost Pa Barry yet (as he hasn't signed a form with anyone) and our management team have been trying to persuade him to stay, but more or less everyone else from last years squad have re-signed again.

We also have the use of our B players this season (which we hadn't much use of last season) and there a few decent players in that set up.

Addtional players include Glen Woodland, Paul Lyons (Now on an "A" form), Sean Lyons, Christy Reddan (not the famous one), Denis (Russian Chap), plus one or two more to come....

Like I said above, all of last season's defence has re-signed plus we have added 2 new defenders/midfielders in C Reddan & P Lyons.

Called off due to torrential rain. Aisling were eager not to play it and to be honest they were right. No point risking cutting up or wrecking a pitch for a friendly match with the season only a few weeks away.

ya we played the boro last night at there place, only 30mins aside because of rain and while the pitch didn't cut up an extra half hour on it could have ruined it for a bit

Hill Celtic are not out of Div 1A yet, they are struggling to sign enough players to start the season with, and they will review the situation again around 18th August, if they haven't improved by then they will drop down a few divisions to Div 2A (with probably Park Rangers getting promoted from 1B, as they finished 3rd in 1B last season).
