Dines 3-2 Hill Celtic...very close game. ref let a lot go but still 3 penalties in the game...two to us...scored five goals, had two disallowed and missed a whole host of chances, hill celtic were unlucky not to snatch a point...result is all that counts for us

2 mistakes 2 goals, same old story,If anyone thinks I'm not giving other teams any credit by saying its down to us that they are winning thats not the case.
We are playing good football, creating a lot of chances bar the shannon game but not taking them, then we are making stupid mistakes and giving teams half chances which they seem to be taking everytime.

Prospect v Shannon Postponed no referee typical after shannon coming the whole way in tough on them.
James Mullins was down to ref it, and we all know that he was injured so why did'nt they ldmc sort it .

Yeah i though we deserved a point we showed good heart even after going one down, the dines fitness won it in the end and it showed, the first pen was harsh i think as i had the ball in my hands when the alleged offence happened, our pen was harsh also as little contact was made, yer midfielder has some shot on him the guy who hit the post twice

no offense but don't think we played particularily well...delighted wit the result but the wind was a major factor in the game...think we played the better football. we put on great pressure near the end...u made a great save from close range but a few other chances we had we should of got the insurance goal

Ger Fitz it was...he made a difference alright, very good player but isn't fit enough to play a full game(i know he'll read this) get fit fatty hahaha i read those predictions today and laughed, theres no easy games in this league and any team can beat any other...we didn't underestimate ye at all but i think if we'd put our chances away it could of lived up to peoples expectations. didn't recognise one player for ye from last year...thats got to be havin an effect. few more games and ye should start gettin better results

Pretty scrappy game to be fair...Both teams had chances with sumerville having the better of them to be honest..We went 1-0 after about 20 mins from a Mike monahan goall...Pitch was pretty tight and hard to play ball on it...2nd half was much the same with cappa getting a few chances and our keeper made a fine safe(he pushed it wide for a corner but i thought he could have caught it :) )..James o donnell then got the 2nd from a long run inside his own half about 15 mins into the 2nd half...That was it then.

I'd say that player is the diving type hahaha. and your around long enough now to know what refs are like some days they can be bad others absolutely dreadfull i'd say herberstown might have something good to say bout him.
I can tell you now, that the player sent off was very close to clocking the ref, he was that poor €48 for that!!!!!! I might take it up myself.............
By the way, did you collect the missus last night????

Whats going on at star alan, with the players ye have ye should be well up the table.
We'll get it sorted dont worry, just missing a few players, 4 missing from the starting line up last night, Shane Walters, Geoff Joyce, Derek Hannon & Len O'Grady, would have made a massive difference!!!!

I am playing with the B's but the A's were stuck for players due to work commitments and stuff so they called on a couple of us...Won't be playing to many more..Not able for it at my age :) ..but yeah i am gettin the odd goal or 2!!
Herbertstown 2-1 Star, ref gave them the game and was an absalout joke to be fair.
M Weldon was reffing it and how he is allowed to ref junior games is beyond belief.
He gave Herbertstown a peno, and sent off one of our players and just moped around and showed no interest at all, he also let fouls go that you wouldn't see on a rugby pitch......its a pity really coz someone will get seriously hurt one day with tossers like him reffing games.........
I know i've said this before and its along the same lines as yourself but mick bourke is brutal, gave a peno last night and booked our keeper, keeper asked why he was being booked and he told him he had to give a peno and book him yet never gave an excuse why,if there are any croom lads on this site they will tell ye it was never a peno as well.Another guy who's just in it for the money, only played 40mins each half without consulting either team, and it was still bright when we finished

No Problem pike B , i know from yourself its not meant to be disrespectful ,if i didn't know who you were i could have taken as being disrespectful though :) but making comments or posts like previous gives ammunition for people who have no problem being disrespectful to refs.

To be honest I was disgusted by some of the personal attacks on the ref in question. I thought a few people went way over the top. I tried to lighten the mood a bit with a bit of visual humour, but I see your point completly.

This recent use of br bean pictures to ridicule referee's,
however poor the ridiculed referee's may be, must stop.
I am dissapointed that the pictures were allowed to remain on the
site. Mike Bourke was a very good referee for many years, and only
recently has disimproved dramatically. Mike Weldon was,in my opinion,
never any good. He does however, fulfill a very important function
and should be shown proper respect.

The 1A table is looking very interesting ATM, everyone is capable of beating anyone on there day, Hill Celtic seem to have turned a corner and after Herbertstown beating Star it is proven to be so far a very difficult league to get 3 points, I think that this month will have a massive baring on the title.
Its still very very early and I can see Star turning it around, I watched there first game of the season and they looked to have it all, dont know what has gone wrong since, maybe it was Hill Celtics lack of players on the day that made them stand out but they did look strong all over the pitch and even on there Bench, Summerville have also got some players back and will be looking to regain there Premier League status, Mungret are the only team with Maximum points and look strong so far, Geraldines are quick and very fast on the break and will be very hard for any team to beat in Rathurd, all the Country teams will always be hard to beat and they love to beat the city teams especially when they are at home and the entire Village is there to cheer them on....
As I said though its still early and the transfer window is still open, I can see a few teams strenghtening in the next week or 2 and I have also heard that Hill Celtic have 3 players coming back to them next week and all 3 are currently playing in the Premier League.
