Ya watched the whole game prospect well worth the lead alright Colin Fleming pulled off super saves to keep dines in it. First 15 mins of the second half the game was wide open chances at both end . Then dines brought on a couple of lads one up front and one in the middle they changed the game . Equalised with 25 to go and then prospect seemed to run out of steam fitness showed on a very big pitch. After 3rd goal went in game was over and the 5-1 flattered them a bit.The bench was a big factor dines looked stronger prospect didnt have much seemed to be missing a few. Dines have a very young side .

we were missin 2 starters from saturday but still had a good bench. never got going at all first half...second half we came into our own and once we got the equaliser there was only one team goin to win...prospect have a good side and will give everyone a tough tough game. our side is very young but its great to see all the young fellas play together who have come thru schoolboy wit the club. colin fleming is a superb addition

Missing were : Eddie Wallace (Grads), Derek Hannon (Suspended), Brian O'Doherty (Injured), Gerard Collopy (Injured), Christy Reddan (Injured), Denis (Russian chap, working), Think thats the lot anyway boss!!!!
Scorers were : Keith Ryan, Dale Mc, & Len O'Grady (2).

Good win recorded by shannon last night away from home, even without their main threat in Gerry Kelly, big turn-around it seems from last year so fair play. It should be an interesting game on sat nite v mungret in shannon, both clubs have 6points from their 2games.

Its very early days yet, its how ye react to when ye lose your first game of the season, that will tell a lot about your players.

ya twas a good game, thought we played the better ball but had no cutting edge,ye had the best chances without a doubt, think draw would have been a fair result but ye edged it in the end, think ye had only 1 lad under 6 foot but ye have definetly improved since last year, don't think any teanm will have it easy against ye

Fair point but after last season we are all used to losing....but as mulla says above we wont give anything cheap and we are a big strong team now who can play abit too...this saturday will tell alot for us i think.

drew 2 2 with charleville,2 mistakes 2 goals, danger reffed the game, disallowed a goal when it was 0-0,our player shot, hit the post rebounded i think off our player, went in hit the back support and came back out,we celebrated only for him to give it as wide:confused::confused:,our players were in disbelief and the charleville lads were laughing.

wat's your verdict on the game alan? Think we were very lucky at times. Woodwork saved us and a few hairy moments but we capitalised on our breaks...scoreline could have quiet easily been the other way round...think ian dore was the difference between the two sides in the end

In fairness if we had taken our chances (as ye did) then it could have ended up 5 or 6-3 to us easily, as you say we hit the woodwork 3 times as well as missing a few good chances, but thats football,
The Dines have a nice young team and should really do well this season, (they definitely wont be fighting relegation like last season anyway, thats for sure).
Was also good to see all the "old" heads down supporting ye, as I know that wasn't the case for most matches last season..........
Best of luck for the rest of the season!!!

cheers...with a stand in keeper it's a fantastic result for us and the aim this season for us is far higher than last...one of ye're best players in the first half went off at half time...right winger, very fast. Was wonderin did he pick up an injury cuz he was troublin our defense any time he picked up the ball?

Yeah, Shane Walters is a fine player and was causing lots of problems in the first half, it was him that hit the post after 20 seconds, he picked up a thigh injury, and didnt want to do more damage to it.

i was missing myself for saturday's game and they won,ye beat a fancied star team so i think ye just took over the fav's tag because i though star were good and i still think they have the quality to be in the top 2 come end of season,i guess yer games against the other top teams will tell all about what chances ye have.
