bad result on the night as mungret controlled the game. in terms of the league its not a bad result at all...did the dines not get a hockying at the weekend out there??
ya it's not the worst result, pity though as a win would have created a big gap at the top. There were some cracking goals in the game last night

dines 3-3 star. Good game that could of gone either way. We're disappointed wit the result having gone 1 up, 2-1 up and 3-2 up. Sloppy goals given away

comfortable for Mungret.looked like shannon were going to get back into it at 1-1 but mungret raised there game straight after the equalizer.

pretty much ya.shannon missed a penalty at 1-0 down in the first half which was a dodgy decision by the ref anyway.mungret were brilliant in the second half and fully deserved the win.4 games in a week surely had an effect on the shannon lads.

Not really...at 2-1 we started chasing the game and left ourselves open..that said mungert are easily the best team in the league and beat us comfortably....best of luck to them in the premier.

Mungret kept theball on the deck, much to the annoyance of the shannon players, whos main threat comes from long throws and high balls into the box. Shannon did seem tired due to their busy schedule of games. League by no means wrapped up, alot of games left and huge games to be played. Geraldinesnext thursday is another big game for Mungret. Two similiar teams in the way they play. Should be a good game!:ball:

yeah it probably was a penalty, you had a good game Jock.
1-5 was probably a bit harsh for the game overall as shannon left their heads drop towards the end. Hopefully we can carry todays form into the dines game

That was bad form, especially now that we have some decent weather. Monsoon Season is just around the corner.

ah i doubt that very much, we are 7 ahead with a game in hand but we definitely dont have the league won, if we make a slip-up it'll leave the teams around us like star, geraldines and summerville etc back into it, we're definitely not thinking that way.

Sloppy goals???? Are you mad? Our first goal was a great header and our 2nd and 3rd goals were crackers from 25yards out.
It was us that gave away 3 sloppy goals, all from our own mistakes.......
1st goal........yer midfielder wasnt tracked by one of ours, to slot home unmarked in the box.
2nd goal.......our full back had 3 chances to clear the ball before it was taken off him
3rd goal........was a deflected shot from outside the box after a poor clearance.
Dines had most of the first half maybe 60/40 I'd say, but Star dominated the 2nd half and had more chances than Dines, and should have won the game.
I spoke to 2 Dines players Sunday evening and they even said they were lucky to get away with a point from the game..........

From our point of view the first goal was very sloppy. Free was taken quick and we weren't tight enough. Second and third goals were good goals but slack marking. Same for both teams really. In the end we were lucky to get the draw but we'd two great chances at 3-2 up to take some of the pressure off and go two up. Our second and third goals from our point of view were excellent but from yours were sloppy. It's the same the other way round

When we played croom away, the pitch was rock hard especially round by the goals very uneven and very bobbly, the ball could have had bounced in any direction. But with the rain, it could be softened up abit and may in fact help it.

Travelled out to Croom last night for the game to be called off...again...to be fair to the Croom lads they sadi they had rang the fixtures secretary and told him at lunch time that if it kept raining the game wasn't gonna be played...and he said to let the ref. make the decision.
This must be p*ss take like in all honesty we must have offended someone in there at some stage to make us travel out the on a thursday eveing in the first place yet alone for it to be called off...after they had been informed it wasn't gonna be playable. Or is it becasue we aren't one or the "elite" from the city??? Damn Clare rednecks.

we only had 9 players and they scored 2 goals in the last 5 mins to make the scoreline flatter them, there pitch was awful, i can't understand how the shannon game was off on thurs and we had a fair bit of rain over the weekend and the ref deemed the pitch playable,i think they might have been missing some regulars. Its a joke havin a game on a bank holiday monday, can't understand why it wasn't fixed for tomorrow evening
