to be fair to mungret they were on top for the first 65-70 mins and after conceding a penalty they seemed to lose interest. mungret should realy have been at least 2 up by that stage. congratulations to cappamore they worked very hard for the 3points

Missed the game tonight because of a new job, along with liam lenihan our top scorer. Talked to the lads afterwards though and everyone admitted we didn't play well at all and were lucky to get the result. Two good goals from what i heard. For us though it was obviously all about the result. A lot of nerves involved...thanks to all the well wishers. Fantastic season from our point of view. We're under no illusions of how big a step up it's going to be next season. To everyone involved this season i would like to say it was a pleasure to play with a great bunch of lads and to the management team and a lot of people behind the scenes, ye put in years of hard work to get the club back to where we all believe it belongs. Ye deserve it and should be very proud.

Was played at the start of the season...not enough time played per half...balla appealed(after the game) and the LDMC have waited till now to re-schedule it....genius!

There's no winners here. If balla had played it last week and won they'd of had nothing to play for last night and people would complain that they'd just lie down for us. The way it is now croom have nothing to play for and prospect and cappamore have to feel like they'll lie down for balla. Then again cappamore played a mungret team with nothing to play for last night to get into this position. Games should of been fixed in a better way so that teams were playing at the same times

anybody with half a brain would have fixed matches with teams in relegation/ promotion spots so that they all played at same time on same days :mad: but then again it is the limerick league committe

we also approached the ref at half time but still proceeded to play less time in second half

so has the balla vs croom game been fixed yet? At this stage both teams could be missing players with holidays and the lateness of the game.
Bit of a shambles really..

Best of luck mulla...Don't think ye're league position justifies the caliber of players ye have. Struggled to field ye're strongest eleven regularily enough i'd say?

He was at some shelbourne schoolboy thing during the week and photographed on the leader during the week saying "shelbournes incoming A manager" :ball:

that combined with some really poor defending and also bad finishing as you probably heard the other night, think the team is actually better footballing wise than last year but we never seemed to get going this season, hopefully we can grab a win and stay up,it will be a battle this evening though.
i know its early to be speculating but how do you think ye will be fixed for next season any signings lined up?Is Martin staying on as manager

Best of luck to him if he does,it takes a lot of dedication to be a manager of a soccer team and i know myself how much effort he puts in so with that and hard work by players he might do well out there

Nothing lined up yet...he's going to make a decision in the next two weeks. It's work related. Up and down to Cork a lot. Liam Lenihan is probably leaving although i'm hoping to convince him to stay. He'd score goals in the premier... I've no doubt. Limerick are sniffing around Pat Collins. Not exactly what we need. We need to strengthen and keep what we have. Might be a bit biased but i think we'll lose players if Martin doesn't stay on. My place in the team would be gone too ha ha

is liam leaving to join another club?if so its a strange one because he's with ye 2 years now and ye just got promoted.from what i've seen ye definitly need to strenghten,ye were very good when ye had the ball but when ye didn't a lot of guys wern't exactly killing themselves to get it back, thats only my opinion and obviously i've only watched ye a couple of times this year, premier would be a bit too physical for the team as it is,and ya if he goes you'd never get a game:D:D:D

correct,1 down with about 15 to play and got the winner in injury time, left it late in a game that we should have killed off by half time but it sums up our season really, bad goal and missed a shed load of chances.fair play to croom for turning up and putting up a fight even though they had nothing to play for.thank god the season is over:D
