A, B, and C team all looking good for promotion, new clubhouse, new pitch astro almost fully funded and ready for development,ya backwards get a grip.just because a few x players messi and the like are bitter means nothing the club are in the strongest position they've ever been,

but still some of the better players in the club choose to play with the b team?why is that?

there's a few reasons but for the most part the B team is made up of lads who grew up together including the manager,

sorry mate but get your facts right,i have never played for that club, and explain to me how it is in the strongest position its ever been, this time five years ago summervill played pike up in the pike field when pike were top and summervil were 2nd!!!pike won one nil and summervil finished fourth in premier that year, fast forward 5 years and ye'r third in 1a wit have the club refusing to play under the current management, thus why their playing wit b team, dont give me that bull story about how they grew up together,if u believe that then you know very little about your club!they would all be still playing if the current management weren't in place!! So to say the club is in its strongest ever position is just laughable,if you genuinely believe that well then you haven't a clue![/quote]

you seem to know alot about a clubs history five years ago when they played pike they were second and went on to finish 4th for a guy who never played for them,

facts are facts teams get relegated, it happens, new managers come in and people have to accept that and if they cant its their decision who they play for and i think it shows great loyalty to the club that these guys still play for the B team and i can guarantee you that there is a better chance of them comming back to the A team when their still involved with the club. The club they grew up with. And all that work previously mentioned by a poster is ongoing and portland park is a differemt place than it was 5 years ago no more green containers and meetings in bobby byrnes

I agree with you G4f Lets keep this forum geared towards football.
If someone wants to play for Summerville, they're welcome, if not, good luck to them, wherever they go. Weve had some good weather, so let the games begin.

we've come a long way in a year. This time last year we were in serious trouble wit players leaving the club. We were in a relegation battle that we scraped thru wit 11 and 12 players turning up for games...now we're attracting good players who can improve us and hopefully push us on to promotion...huge game for us sunday morning

ya ye are doing well and i for one hope that ye keep it going for the season, but don't get ahead of yourselves ye might sign a few good players this month but this is still a hard division to get out of and its a long second half of the season ahead

Well aware of that mulla...as far as i'm concerned we're going to have to work very hard and have luck along the way to finish in the top two teams in this division. Still it's a wide open league... Summerville had a great win the weekend and mungret are very strong. Thats why i think sunday is huge for us. Shannon are unbeaten and must be contenders for the league...just highlighting our progress. This time last year you'd never of thought we'd be attracting players who could improve us all over the park...we're still wishin, hoping and striving for promotion. We know how hard it'll be

I agree with both, good sqaud of young talented players, and yes it is a very big game for ye Sunday.............without home advantage, I'd say a good result for ye would be a draw, and then beat them at home (would ye take that now???)

He trained twice last week and as far as i know him and leonard were gettin their transfer forms signed tuesday. He was wit carew and scored a few goals in the premier. Started out as a center midfielder but played up front last year. Probably our best player last season. As far as sunday is concerned a draw wouldn't be a bad result but we gotta keep the good run going

the ref didn't help us...physical would be an understatement for shannon. Think they thought because we've a young side that if they got about us we'd back down...some of the decisions in the game were baffling, including the penalty we were given. Altho a blatant peno in the first half wasn't given. How a ref can make decisions fifty yards from play is beyond me...from our point of view we played well, all did our jobs but got sucker punched right at the death

there isn't much point talking about the ref as he was as bad for ye as us...i didn't think the one in the first half was a pen and the one in the second definetly wasn't, in fact it was probably the best tackle of the game! maybe we were physical but we are a big side so why not! and nothng was dirty or malicious, we would have liked to have won before the game but after the way it panned out we are gladof the point and to keep the unbeaten run going.

give it a rest will ya...there was nothing cynical in that game...if there was then we wouldn't have had 11 on the field at the end..why dont you just accept the game as it was without trying to stir it up and make something out of nothing
