well lads now that the new season is nearly upon us, how do we think the league will pan out now?

from the looks of it Mungret will be strong this year, any predictions?

think croom will push for one the two spots, bit weak at the back but fast and skillfull up front will score alot. balla will no doubt be up among the top. star will depending on the start they get will do well < a confidence team> mungret must be favourites but will they start like they did last year. (cost them the title) outside bets summervile/herbertstown

Unless Croom have added they will not be up there. Played them twice last year and while they were good enough to win 1B handy, I seriously doubt they'll be in the shake up for promotion. Top six maybe.
I fancy Summerville and Star.

Summerville are you MAD!. I have seen them play against Caherdavin in a 2-2 draw. They are dreadfull if im to be honest. Lucky to get a draw against Caherdavin. They were awarded a penalty to make it 2-2 in the last 5 mins. Which should have never been a peno as the challenge happened outside of the box. And Caherdavin no great team!

you are right. Was at the game myself, only recognised 2 or 3 players. They will struggle this year.

Mungret, Star and Geraldines I think will fight for promotion.

Fair enough, but I wasn't at that game. Plus you can't write a team off on one performance. They dominated this division a few seasons ago with a similiar squad and I just think they might be up there. But who knows.

If they had a similar squad maybe, but they dont have anything near the same squad, and wont for the season.

Were there any friendlies on during the week involving 1A teams?

think alot of teams not getting much friendlies played due to our wonderfull climate, think this has been the worst weather in recent years at the start of a season.

tbh i think any team for our division would have beaten them!! they said they were missing 4 or 5 but the lads that were out there looked so unfit it was unreal,we were missing bout 6 ourselves, truth is we should have beaten them by a lot more, hard to play a team that shows no interest after going behind esecially in a friendly,we just went through the motions in the second half,if thats all they have to offer we'll be playing them next year in the league:D

From the players they have signed they look strong going forward. Would they have a good defence?

Certainly looks like they will be strong challengers this year.
