hill celtic v balla off

Ya mate, it was fixed for Saturday then changed to Tuesday night, the pitch was flooded, very badly like a swimming pool down by the far down goals, no match until the weekend so hopefully the rain stays away or else it will be off also.

getting very close down the bottom. any of the bottom 5 could go down. are prospect all but done. herbertstown should not be down there fighting, quality side would love them to stay up regroup and hit ground running next session.
since everyone is doing it in every other division any one care to suggest team of the year.

herbertstown along with the other teams down there are there for one reason, they haven't been good enough consistently throughout the season.I think we have played well at times this season star and shannon games recently come to mind which we won(and luckily we did or we would be almost certainly ,gone at least we have a fighting chance now),we have played well in a lot of other games too but bad finishing and bad defending throughout the season catch up with you.Big game for us this sunday against cappamore although thats only 1 of 4 big games left for us

Fair play and best of luck to mungret next year,as i said at the start of the season if they could keep the end of last years form going i thought they'd go up and they did that and in fairness only drooping 7 points so far this season is a great acheivement.I see dromore are back down too but kilmallock stayed up.

Dont think theres much point now in playing the above game, seeing as though Mungret have the league won and Star cant get promoted, especially as both clubs are involved in big cup games 2 days later on Thursday 28th? (Star away to Summerville in the Div 1A Cup & Mungret v Boro in the Semi of the Lawson), so the most sensible thing to do would be to call this game off, or else you could see both teams fielding their B teams on the Tuesday.

is there any truth in the 3 points deducted from cappamore, that makes 3 teams (balla, hill celtic, and cappamore all on 15 points going into the last 2 games and prospect on 12 going to be very interesting and nail biting at the bottom:rolleyes:

going be an interesting last week. lets hope mungret dont think they have to make an effort now when playing dines, as this is dines trickyest game. if mungret put out normal side and play like normal this will make game very interesting for promotion. shannon have 2 tough ones with charleville away and home. best of luck to both camps.

We're confident...we beat shannon well few weeks back, the pressure is on them against charleville home and away. going back to shannon out in shannon we missed a penalty in last ten or fifteen minutes for 2-0. They equalised in stoppage time, hope it doesn't come back to haunt us, again today...last minute goals. Of course i'd say it but i think we're the better side and deserve to go up.

I heard the same, that they brought on a 16 year old for the last 10 minutes against Herberstown when they were winning 3-1. Herbertstown objected and got the 3 pts.

Would expect Shannon to get the six points against Charleville with Charleville having nothing to play for. Herbertstown are also safe now so should get the other three from that one. Up to Dines then to get max points if they can hold nerve.

dines08
25/05/2009, 1:53 PM
I'd disagree...even though the teams have nothing to play for they'll still give it a good go. Shannon dropped points against Hill Celtic recently and have a lot of pressure on. They can't drop any points or it's over. Even if we drop points its still up to them to punish us.

Have a point just with it getting so late in the year and with the GAA in full swing I see the teams that are at full strength and need the points more as more likely to get the points. That goes for Dines too, I would expect Dines to beat Balla even tho balla are battling to stay up and depends then what kind of team Mungret put out or have available.
