I have been on to Sportslink and am awaiting confirmation back that the pitch is available. I have confirmed that the kick off is at 16.00. They have said that a grass pitch would be best suited given the age profile, fitness levels and general condition of the participants:rolleyes:
I will arrange, if required, payment in advance and get it back on the day.
The restaurant will be open on the day so people can get grub after the match and retire to the bar afterwards.
If anyone wants any further details PM me.
Sportslink have a web site www.sportslink.ie which has a map and details of the facilities

I am flying with Ryanair. You can check bags, so its no problem, they just make a small charge now for the service  But not to worry, cos Im not carrying it round with me. Anyway GT can carry it once we are in Dublin:D
What time are you coming in at on Saturday morning? I'm handy to the airport and I can meet you and take the gear to save you carting it all around. If you dont want a full welcoming committee  you can PM me with the details and I will keep them more secret than the 3rd secret of Fatima

thats really nice of you. GT gets in before me, and Im not sure exactly what time her flight is. Im getting in at 9.30am. As for the kit, its going to be 12 shirts,so there wont be that much to carry. Im sure everyone is sorted for socks, shorts etc.
Will let you know a little nearer the time what we are doing, so thanks very much:)

I presume that we'll be using rolling substitutions and you can come on / go off as is necessary. I'd last the 90 minutes alright, but it wouldn't look like I started it, if you know what I mean.

We now have a full set of Officials for the game:
Referee: Myself (Worcester, Worcestershire, England)
Assistant Referee: Mr J Campbell (Flitwick, Bedfordshire, England)
Assistant Referee : Mr B Sargent (Sydney, New South Wales, Australia*)
* - Currently residing in Aberdeen, Scotland
Looks like we have a full set of match officials. I'll just send a PM to Reiteoir and ask him to confirm that all his team are still OK (Might ask about his liking for brown envelopes  ( It's an old Irish custom Field)

Surely the most important thing is that everyone who wants to collapse in exhaustion at the side of the pitch after twenty minutes of strolling around, gets to

Sorry guys I'm going to have to pull out :(
I really wanted to play and I thought that I would be able to but I've got a call up from Celtic...........
.....no, seriously normally Easter holiday falls one week on either side of the Easter weekend meaning I would be available to play but because of the late Easter ( ) this year our college has the two weeks off before and then the Easter Monday meaning even though my family are off to Dublin on the day of the match I'm in college!!!
Sorry lads-I won't be a great loss and wthe other keepers are probably better but I would have loved to have played with you guys- maybe on the return leg :p ?

maybe we should play 2 X 30 minutes instead of 2 x45 minutes otherwise we don't make it to the beers and the food .I think am also speaking for the dutch team because they fall like '' wath's his name " in the last game on terschelling .
I am looking forward to meet you guys.

Just had PM from Reiteoir and unfortunately he is not able to officiate as he is just recovering from illness and one of the assistants is in Canada. He has suggested that I contact another officilal and I have asked him for contact details.
Is there anybody else out there who would be able to get (at least) a ref. I know it's a friendly (whatever that might be) but it would be better if we had one. Post here please.
