Athlone 323 (291) (missing Cobh 2 and Galway 2)
Would have guessed around 250 at the Cobh match.
The Galway match was about 300 the extra 50 accounted for by Galways travelling support
If you can contact atfconline I am sure he might be able to give you offical figures though

With regards that Longford v Waterford TG4 game that you're missing, I remember talking to someone who was at it who estimated about 300 - 400 in total at the game. Was there a significant fall-off in Longford's home crowd after they went out of the cup and Europe? Definitely seemed to be very poor in the latter stages of the season.

Few more...
Kildare averaging about 125-175 per game (http://www.kildarecountyfc.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=906&PN=1) (not sure how I'm going to put that in short of giving all their missing games 150 each)
Kildare v. Monaghan and both Monaghan v. Kildare games - about 100 each (http://monaghanunited.ie/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=751&sid=01d19479e2a9330e603125b9cc2af899)
Cork City website reports "nearly 8000 crammed into Turner's Cross" for the Derry game.:p
Longford v. Waterford - Longford say 700 (http://www.foot.ie/showthread.php?t=31595), Waterford say 400 tops (http://www.irishfootie.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1728). Will go with 500.
Apparently 150-200 at Kilkenny v. Sligo. 270 mentioned for Kildare-Sligo, along with 120 elsewhere on the Sligo board and 125-175 for most of Kildare's games. Will go with 175.

id give 2200 at Rovers v chf. that allows for over 600 empty seats in the jodi .which is being very conservative, the stand seemed packed,my dad was down at section B ,he said it was full there, i was in section E, where it was considerably over full-ie people standing at the front and in the clear ways.) il allow for a couple of hundred empty seats right down at the shopping centre end of the jodi, which i didnt see.
about 140 chf fans.words fail me.
as for shels bohs.nowhere near 3100. from tv pictures id say 2500 is generous

Rovers V CHF in Dalymount - There were actually 204 in the Des Kelly. Very few of those were neutrals. The official attendance was 1654 plus 75 who used their season tickets and 150 freebies ( children under 14 accompanied ). Total 1879.

An important thing that i suppose most fans guilty of - including freebies in estimates would explain why official figures always look much smaller - they won't include freebies.

Official figures are supposed to include everything, including freebies. Would be easy enough keep track of - I know we have an officials gate with names to be let in for free which are ticked off as they arrive.

Couple of Dublin City attendances (http://foot.ie/showthread.php?t=31599)...
150 Dublin City v. Kildare
250 Dublin City v. Monaghan
400 Kilkenny v. Monaghan
DC v. Kildare is described as "pretty abysmal", while it's about the average for what I have and almost twice the worst I have, so don't know which is right. Maybe the above are a bit on the high side.
Edit - also down as (http://foot.ie/showpost.php?p=395332&postcount=3) 150 for DC v. Kildare, 120 for DC v. Kilkenny, 170 for DC v. Monaghan and 300 for KC v. DC. Will go with these on the usual basis that they're lower to keep the figures conservative.

Stu,
Is this nearly finished? Is their a thread on the averages for this season compared with last season now that season is over?
Cheers

Yeah, go back to the previous page and there should be a listing. I'm just trying to fill a few gaps - have filled about a quarter of them so far - and I'll post up a final listing in a week or so. For historical data (and anything other than this year or last year should be taken with about ten times as much salt as this year and last year), check out www.european-football-statistics.co.uk. I update the Ireland section.

Cheers!- excluding the 3 promoted sides, only 3 clubs with increases,Rovers and Drogs small ones and Derry with a healthy extra 1000, if I'm reading it right.

Yep. Part of that is down to Cork and Shels now releasing official attendances. My experience is that figures based purely on fans' estimates tend to be 5-10% too high. However, Bohs, Pat's and Waterford showing decreases isn't overly surprising - just going through a bad patch.

FIRST
Athlone 316 (291)
Cobh 403 (240)
Dublin City 175 (592)
Dundalk 474 (591) (missing Cobh 2, Galway 2 and Kildare 2)
Galway 566 (571)
Kildare 186 (298)
Kilkenny 185 (110) (missing Athlone (both), Cobh (2), Dundalk (both), Kildare and Monaghan 2)
Limerick 669 (188)
Monaghan 183 (182) (missing Athlone 2, Cobh (both), Dublin City (2), Dundalk (2) and Kilkenny (2))
Sligo 1819 (781)
Premier Division - 1759 (1853)
First Division - 523 (512)
Overall average - 1196 (1218)
The overall figure is down, but that's probably more to do with the fact that I have more of the attendances for the likes of Kilkenny, Kildare and Athlone, which would drag the figure down.
