350 is mentioned on the Waterford forum as well (stand 1/4 full), though only with 50 people around the ground. Will up it to 400, but it certainly wasn't much more than that.
Maybe some day we won't have the worst average in the Premier Division. :D

Waterford will have to be in the Premier though! ;)
Nice to see us getting higher crowds for the home game than the away game for a change (hopefully Longford as well), though obviously I'd rather it was just for our crowds going up rather than ours going up and the other team's dropping...

I think dropping crowds of one team are compensated by others though. Sustained success at the top will give us rather large crowds from Derry and Cork and maybe even Bohs if they can continue their pre-Cork streak.

Definitely - there's always some teams doing well and some not so well...currently just above water with regards this year's and last year's averages.
Though that may change if you get any back attendances from Cork...?

It is for you. For us, it's a Dublin derby. I'm purely distinguishing between games where there are usually 100 away fans and games where there usually 500 away fans. A few years ago, we were regularly getting 1200 at those games and 300 at the others; now it's more like 1000 and 500. I think our home support is up, but there's fewer away fans going to the all-Dublin games (if that's better by you! :) ), so our average attendace overall is staying about the same.
700 at this game last night at RSC.This is from the clubs press officer on btid.

ye're last two home games attracted an average of 500. I'd be very concerned about the future of the club. And for the record it gives me no pleasure to say that. Blues are my 2nd favourite team

Well if you consider how bad our Dublin neighbours are doing badly for the main part it makes sense. Pat's and Rovers have been awful this season and not so great in the last. Bohs basically only stopped doing bad this season when they met us at Belfield. The only Dublin club doing reasonably well is Shels who are the probably the smallest supported of the big 4 and even they met us during their bad spell. Rovers and Bohs still brought good crowds and Shels and Pat's weren't that bad.

Fair enough. Harps forum mentioned it was a poor crowd as well, so that seems reasonable. Wonder where the other 3,500 are gone from the title game? ;)

UCD versus anyone in Dublin isn't a derby game to them. Thats why I love when we beat them. Was still very dissapointed with the Pats turnout on Friday though.

Are these official attendances?
A group of us came over from England for four games in three days, including a pre season match at Coleraine.
We did a rough 'head count' about halfway through the first half in each game. We counted everyone behind the barriers, i.e. not including any playing staff, but everyone else. The paying attendance will naturally be lower than this!
Fri 15 - Athlone Town v. Dublin City (280)
Sat 16 - Coleraine v. Rushden & Diamonds (410)
Sat 16 - Finn Harps v. Bohemians (1,100)
Sun 17 - Monaghan United v. Dundalk (220)
For the Finn Harps game, there were approx - Open side (180), Open terrace behind goal (400), Seats (120) and Covered terrace (400). I'd guess there were about 400-500 Bohs fans there. It did appear that a number of supporters, particularly on the covered side, went at half time, not to return!
I hope this is of help!?

Are these official attendances?
Only for some clubs. Shels, Cork, St Pat's, Bohs, Limerick and Galway are the only clubs who release official attendances. The rest are "educated" guesses.
Your figures for Athlone and Monaghan are fairly close to what we have alright, although the ones here may be a bit lower 'cos I like to tend on the low side to allow for some of the, shall we say "over-exuberant" guesses :) .
Harps is a bit out though - any Harps fans want to settle the difference?

As three of us counting independently came up with remarkably similar figures for Finn Harps, then I'd be surprised if it was finally settled at 800. I personally counted twice, so that's four (that ranged between approx 1,050 - 1,150).
However, we asked a very helpful steward what he considered to be the attendance and he said 800 !
After the game, we asked a man in the press box and he said it was around 1,500 !
Add the two together and divide by two and you get 1,150.
In non league football in England, there are many different policies on attendance calculations. Some leagues accept pay on the day only, other include season ticket holders, some 'add' a set amount to cover club officials, media etc and some just do a head count or estimate!
I think the League Of Ireland should stipulate that clubs report official attendances including all non playing staff, broken down in to paying spectators and complementaries and other freebies. A simple figure for each match could then be published for each match.
It's not that it's embarrasingly low figures as the Scottish Football League and Welsh Premier League openly publish theirs and there are some very low figures. I don't think the Irish League publish theirs either, do they?

I gave the original figure of 800 for harps/ Bohs and I emphasise it was a guess - my first time at finn park and it does help to know a ground; There wasn't anything like 4-500 Bohs fans there tho', that I do know; we brought maybe 200 which is pretty damn good for a 300 mile round trip, which means we could bring that to Derry, Cork and Waterford if the games were on Saturdays instead of Friday ( I know Derry usually are but we're now playing our rescheduled match on Tues. 2)

They are all required to do this. The problem is the FAI don't bother releasing the figures. Several people from here have asked, and been told that there were no plans to release figures and that they were just being gathered for information purposes. Personally, I think some clubs aren't complying yet.
