View Full Version : 2005 Attendances
Poor Student

Don't have all the individual figures but I don't think there's been a game below 500 and the games against other Dublin clubs have been around 1000 so it seems perfectly reasonable.
In fact our average attendence was in the 700s the last time we were in the Premier Division.

Here is a photo of some of the crowd of Rovers Vrs Dublin

You can't beat photographic evidence:D Why don't some of us take pictures on our phones at games and post them on here as they could back up some of the guesstimates and put down the knockers:p

Must have forgot that one. 1,120 is the figure.
And btw if you want a guesstimate for our away game against Rovers I would say there wasn't anymore than 1,200 at it.

Dundalk 0 Sligo Rovers 0 last night, there was in excess of 1000 at it. Sligo had a good amount of away fans too for the division, maybe 250 of them.

Not saying 3500 not correct but fai.ie in the past just guessed numbers for our games.

Yeah, how exactly did they get such an exact figure withing minutes of the game ending? In retrospect wouldn't rely on that figure at all.

Update after the weekend. Last season in brackets. (2) indicates a match in the second round of games.
Edit - 100 to 150 (http://www.kildarecountyfc.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=853&PN=1) at Kildare v. Dublin City according to the Kildare forum. Have updated the stats. Harps forum mentions 4500 for the Derry game, but says that's an unreliable guess from someone at the game. Will go with the 3500 from here until we get anything else.

I don't think there was that many, worst Pat's crowd (size wise, their actual support was good on the night) I have seen at Tolka in a while, understandable I suppose given their recent form, but the whole thing lacked the spark of a usual Shels vs. Pat's game. I'd say 2,100 would be a fair guess but I'm just completely guessing here.

Very poor attendance for the Shels/Pats match. A 1,900-2,000 would be my guestimate since the Richmond road stand was half full.

I'd say about 800 at Pat's-UCD last night. Only a couple of hundred five minutes before kick-off, but it did fill up a bit. That's an uneducated guess though - any Pat's fans want to correct me, fire ahead. They don't seem to announce their attendances any more.

I'd say that was about right. The top part of the Donie Ford Stand was mostly full the Shed was full and the Derryanne side was pretty full too. The St. Anne's end was almost empty. That will all change next week. Atleast 7000 will be at next weeks game. I can't wait for that.

600-800 then, I remember The Star gave 500 (not exactly sure that this was the figure, dont want to land myself in trouble here) for one of our games before when I'm pretty sure it was nearly double;) , I'm confused (as usual:eek: ).
How full were the seats at the beginning of the game? I remember when I came in that Waterford's side of the shed was pretty full, the other side half-emty, and less than half of the space taken up behind the goal. When the rain started belting down the shed was packed and the rest of the place was fairly emty but I'd still say that 600 is a bit low:confused:
I wont complain about the second half myself ;)
