So similar to the Dundalk game. Still in it at 60 minutes then poor defensive play gifts the opposition a goal. mannus has to do better than knock it back to the penalty spot.

Red card maybe makes it interesting? But Apollon seem to bed so much in control they can see this out
Riga just knocked out the Polish champions on away goals

Kavannagh got a yellow too. Handbags at the sideline that got out of hand. A goal takes it to extra time! They just did it!!! Greene! What a strike son
Edit : They still need one, my bad. Plenty of time yet still.

Would be very interesting if Rovers could get a goal and the game goes to ET.

A pessimist might say the only way Rovers were going to score was a long distance effort out of nothing. But let's see how it goes from here!

From getting off the bus to getting home I missed the second goal. Back in time for the sending off and the howitzer from Greene. Fingers crossed there’s another goal in it for Rovers now.

Apollon are very good at the dark arts of falling around softly for frees. Shams running out of energy and ideas a little bit, understandably. Hope is still there though!

Nice sub to bring on, Carr will cause problems for them

Kamikaze defending by Rovers, but they get away with it.

Phew. Pioty they couldn't find a way to win in normal time.Extra time at least. On one hand Rovers are a man up, on the other they look leggy now.

Jaysus Greene , where did that come from, great strike.
Dodgey link but can hear the Rovers fans, fair play.
Win it in extra time.

I was wondering how Rovers would mess this up. Of Course! Get a man sent off for a stupid foul and completely throw away the initiative. Brilliant.

Ugh. Lucky goal. They're celebrating like they've won. Maybe it will drive on Rovers. Carr's been decent since he came on.

No penos now! That one more goal still needed by Rovers and I wouldnt rule it out. Thought that deflected cross was dipping under the bar earlier. The ability of these teams to run at players with serious pace, drawing a foul or creating a chance is scary.

Crusaders 1-0 up on Wolves!
2-1 on aggregate to Wolves now
Edit - Wolves equalise immediately...

Rovers playing into the Dan Murray end this half , hopefully it will inspire them.

A goal for Rovers would change everything but I cannot help feeling that they should have pressed their advantage towards the end of normal time.

Heat got to them in extra time, but they didn't really take full advantage of that extra man, pity really.

Carr excellent as usual.

They completely blew it. All they had to do was keep eleven players on the pitch, and the Cypriots would have been happy to play for penalties. Ridiculous stuff.

That was disappointing, the way the game evolved Rovers could have gone through deservedly, but at least they put everything into the effort.

They know they got out of jail. Finn going off cost Rovers, Carr did nothing when he came on.

Is there some rule I'm not aware of that bars us from getting a decent set of officials? Could have at least booked the whole apollon team the amount of diving and kicking there was going on from them. Nevermind the stamp on Bolger they got a free for, as for the Grace first yellow, your man 20 wasn't touched all day but spent more time on the floor than on his feet. Ref only gave them the red because his assistant told him to.

Good effort but a pain to go out again in ET. Rovers have been great in Europe this season and can consider themselves a tad unfortunate tonight.

These are classic antics by those continental types that seem to work a treat year after year against teams from.our league.
Only saw a snip of Greene's goal and a few updates but seems that Shams put up a decent fight in the fuxture.

After his goal tonight, Aaron Greene becomes the 3rd player to score for 3 LOI clubs in Europe. The other players are Glen Crowe and Neale Fenn.

Ireland's league drop down to 39, just ahead of Moldova and Luxembourg, just below illustrious Latvia and notably Albania and Macedonia have a higher league co efficient which was a surprise since we would usually expect to beat teams from there.
since the new QR round teams are able to pick up more points meaning a haul of 1.25 in a year wont be good enough over the 5 years...
case in point northern ireland would usually have a weak haul but this years 1.625 isnt due to some amazing heroics other than Linfield still being involved.
