Hey A Face, surely this should go into the Drogheda section?

I fancy Riga to get a good result today.
Prophetic!
They won away after loosing at home -
no easy wins
Have to say, Elfsborg look decent after their 4:1 ag win - tie was over after the away win - they will be a stiff test for Hibernian

Well I imagine it was a shock for Riga to have lost the 1st Leg and they would take things a bit more serious for the 2nd Leg. They were the better side and as it's the Intertoto the better sides tend to be asleep for the 1st Round 1st leg games.
Won't be an easy game for Bohs now but I think they should do it over the two legs.

Or, in Bohs case, 'asleep for the 1st Round 1st leg 1st Half!'
:ball:
Riga are a good side & should be a difficult test for Bohs alright

We'll have to wait another year for an Irish team to reach the group stages then! Seriously the way Drogs are playing Levadia will stuff them. Wot does that do to the co-efficeint Stu?!

Once again, we get one of the hardest draws.

It is a really good first round draw but Dynamo is too hard for most teams to contend, like last year, one of worst 2nd Round Draws, the league needs a lucky break some time in the 2nd Round thats how other small teams got into the Champions League over the years, their draws were favourable.

Brings back memnories of the sheer excitement waiting for the Euro draws in 2006... :D
Drogs should have too much for Levadia over two legs, one would hope.
Kiev would be a very tough challenge for them. On the plus side they're a well-known name so should attract a few curious people along to Dalymount (I assume that's where they'll play). On the downside, Kiev is probably an expensive trip for an Irish team.
Difficult to see Linfield getting anywhere with Zagreb.

I think the year we're losing is a really bad year (is it five years since Shels lost to Hibs?), so anything is a gain this year really.

There has never been a better time to play Dinamo Kyiv. Last year FK Sarajevo nearly beat them in R3.
Agree with the other comments, Linfield have no chance against Dynamo Zagreb.

UEFA Cup draw in about 2 mins. Going through Central/East region now.
Best of luck to Cork and Pat's in the draw.
Decent enough draw for Drogs.

Them draws aren't too bad. Couldn't have been much easier for St. Pat's and Cork managed to avoid the bigger clubs.

Good draw for Cork too, at least the avoided Man City and the Danish teams.

Great draw for the 2 teams. Pat's will be favourites - Olimps are in the relegation zone in the Latvian league! Haka are 8th after 10 games in Finland so a very good chance for Cork to qualify.
They couldn't have picked easier draws.

Not too bad draws at all. I'd definitely fancy Pats, and put Cork in with a shout dependent on if they're still on a bit of a roll come the game.
Tough draw for Cliftonville. Glens might get a result in one of the two legs, but it's a big test for the IL to see if they can beat a Latvian side.
The glamour Man City draw has gone to the Faroes !! An early Christmas for the hostelries and handful of hotels over there.

Happy days. Was bloody terrified we'd get Kobenhavn for a while there... have had enough of Danish teams for a while after last year's goings on.
Wanted one of the bottom three seeds, got the second from bottom, and JC's info only encourages me further. Excellent. :D
Not a bad draw for Drogs. Will be expected to progress against Talinn. Realistically no chance against Kiev but home leg first could get a draw or snatch a win plus should get reasonable crowd. Kiev lose all their group games in the CL last season.
No nightmare draws which is good as avoid Danes & Norwegians in the Uefa Cup draw. Might be close but I think Pats & City have good chance of progression.
Overall optimistic of improvement in last years coefficient.

And look what happened there...

Haka only beat Rhyl on away goals last season! The same Rhyl Bohs put 9 past.
Sure to get egg on the face for saying it, but I reckon we could hammer them.

By all accounts Bohs faced a totally different Rhyl side to the one which Haka beat antidub.
According to their supporters Rhyl have lost their manager, half of the squad, and had to appeal to fans and the general public to come along and have a trial for their reserve side.
By all accounts they're in meltdown at the moment

I don't think most Pats fans are cavalier about that draw - we've had enough disasters in the last few years to ensure that. I'll never forget the Moldovans as long as I live. But put it this way, they're a step below Odense's level... so hopefully won't lose by 5 this time :o

4 wins in the UEFA Cup and Drogheda should get at least a win and draw in the CL.

Actually that team are even worse than I thought! They got 8 points from 28 games in their league last season! Finished bottom but weren't relegated as they made the league into 10 teams. They've 7 points from their 1st 13 games this season.
FC Haka drew 3-3 on aggregate with Rhyl in the UEFA Cup last season.
