Whats going on with the injuries in the squad!!? Yeah so some seem injury prone but the like of Gannon was always robust. No Dummigan either. Hoare out to right full and go with a back 4 with Cleary and Garts. Seemed an odd teams selection from the off anyway.

Frustrating when ye see that these guys are beatable. Panicky enough themselves at the back. Too many sloppy moments or wasted opportunities to put them under some pressure. Still a better general performance in jeeping the ball for spells and in a different system than what wed be used t seeing. 3 at the back with wing backs it looks like.

Really rough challenge there from the Moldovan - should have been booked for that. Probably saved by the fact that he seems to have injured himself more than the Dundalk guy

These lads went to get the early goal, then soak up the pressure and press them when the times right. Must have watched the Celje game and thought this is the simplest way to beat Dundalk.

Dundalk have had some possession but struggling with their bunching and pressing when in any decent positions. No real chances created. When theyve managed to break or have a counter theyve been very slow getting forward.

SHields really is a top class player.

The half time replays clearly show it was Gartland's man.

Keeper very much to blame for Dundalk's equaliser, but not Dundalk's problem of course.

Sheriff seem a bit rough; thought Dundalk had a peno shout earlier when there was a jersey up around the nipple-line from a corner. Will the ref clamp down on that sort of stuff? He hasn't yet, but Sheriff could end up down to ten if he does.

Odd half really. Sloppy defending to concede. Losing a player to injury. Elbow perfectly applied to Mountney's jaw, poor passing from Shields and then steps up and does what he does best and disrupting opposition moves. He looked like he was playing sweeper the odd time. Some decent possession but not creating and then a nice goal from whipping the ball in and Murray arriving from midfield.

Hopes raising that we can do this but its almost cruel to get the hopes up lol. Sherriff are definitely beatable and are not as composed on the back foot that youd expect.

Yep. It's the kind of error we don't often see by European opposition. But the kind of thing LOI teams are usually guilty of at this level. Nice to be on the receiving end for a change.
