View Full Version : 2012 attendances
I'd say 150 at mervue vs limerick and that's being generous.
spot on if you ask me.

Was at it,I thought about 180 maybe 200 at the very most.Good Limerick support, only for them it would have been as quiet as a morgue
346? and the previous home match was 350......and the salthill match in terryland was 347....this man is a joke of a reporter !
Sorry Terry but its the Salthill PRO that does their game.

It's club official who do the Devon and Mervue rreports for extra
time - one works in a factory, the other in an office. They're certainly not reporters

I'd say 150 at mervue vs limerick and that's being generous. Maybe 50 Limerick fans and 50ish mervue fans.
And one Galway United fan

Athlone/Harps 350
Shelbourne/Derry 1251
UCD/Bray 376
Waterford/Salthill 319

And what? 50 nuetrals?
I said 150 at a push, as in being generous but 50 limerick fans and 50ish Mervue fans there would probably be more accurate. There might have been more limerick fans than 50 too because there was some over on the opposite side and behind one of the goals which I didn't realise.
There was absolutely no way in hell there was near 300 people there. There was three Galway fans next to us and one or two more dotted around.
They are doing themselves no favours by putting up false figures. Surely they aren't giving these numbers to the FAI. Let's see if they give those false numbers for FAI Cup games.

On the side I was on there was about 50-60 Limerick fans. Another 30-40 max down the end and at the other side. So roughly 100 Limerick fans. At the very most there was 100 other spectators around the ground. 200 at the very most I would have thought, no way the figure they are giving.

Weather good so crowds should be out for the league of Ireland tonight. I expect bumper gates in Derry, Limerick and Tallaght to lift the average this season.

The good weather somehow seems to have the opposite effect in LOI.

The way we are playing our crowds will only be getting smaller.

Probably between 600 and 650 at Bray tonight, the main stand wasn't full. Small but noisy crowd from Drogheda down, maybe 60 or 70 (Cheers to the two lads I was talking to after the game for not gloating too much!)

Would probably have said about 500-600 myself so that sounds about right, hard to tell when everyone is so spread out tho.

Decent crowd at Gortakeegan (or Kingspan Century Homes Park if you work for Aertel and havent looked up LOI ground names since 2006)- stand was nearly full and a lot of people standing.

When your team is robbed from you and all you can do is look on in despair at the two teams who are supposedly representing our county yes then this is what things have come to. 8 matches played for the 2 teams, 7 defeats, and inflated attendance figures to boot

Good crowd in Monaghan. Would easily say 400-500 Rovers fans. No more than 600 in attendance IMO.

I would have figured just a little more. Drogs fans did themselves and the team credit, Bray fans likewise. Good to see two footballing teams have a go. Bray have some good lads but just look like they'll struggle to survive.

I know yeah. Our crowds really have dropped off horribly the last couple of years. Though hopefully they start coming back a bit more now that we're playing seriously sexy football! There was a fairly poor crowd down from Dundalk as well

I was at Mervue last night and my estimate was 185 including stewards, Last year in Terryland all season tickets were scanned in with barcode readers.
I think Mervue are counting all their season tickets sold which could be around 150, my one is in the nineties. Leinster Rugby i believe do this as well when doing attendances. The average season ticket attendance in Terryland under GUFC last season was 324, the number of season tickets sold was 604. The attendances in Terryland last season included only season ticket holders entering the ground, Kids, Adults and students and excluded stewards, players, match officials and press.
