Thats not bad for the Setanta Cup as most fans of clubs claim to not care about it. Are St Pats unhappy with their crowds ? Bohs, with a very weak squad are still getting more supporters turning up at their matches than them.

I think thats the lowest attendence for the SC final ever. Not great considering the final was local to Crusaiders and not too far from Derry

It seemed like a loud atmosphere at any rate.

having been at every pats games, and a couple of Bohs games, thats not close to being true. Despite what their figures might indicate.

I`ve no idea what Pats`s crowds are. The Bohs crowds are official figures provided by the club to the FAI and whoever wants them in the media. I would have guessed the Bohs crowds to within a couple of hundred of the official figures. Not really sure what you are on about Dodge, are you saying that the Pat`s figures are under reported?
i think hes implying that we report our all our members/season ticket holders or something. Dont think we do. Otherwise not sure what hes banging on about. Pats crowds have usually always been a few hundred lower than ours (according to this site).

700 - season ticket /members/associate members, I doubt even Dodge is claiming that we are getting attendances of 6-700.
Understandable that Pats would be disappointed with their crowds given that they are challenging for the league and now playing decent football for once ( except when they play Bohs)

Dodge, perhaps you should clarify that statement. I know Bohs provide official verified figures so either Pats are giving incorrect figures or you are talking crap.

right fine, Bohs crowds are better than Pats.
What was the attendance at the Mons v Derry game last nite? I saw a few action pictures from the game, so I counted about 10 so at least there was some sort of crowd at it?

Maybe Pats can increase their support as their fans get to know their players better and get used to the new style of football they are playing. I noticed during the game against Cork that some of their fans around me wanted the ball kicked forward quicker rather than pass it to a team-mate. Bohs this year so far seem to have a more loyal following.

Woah, someone on a football forum giving an slightly biased/unbalanced comparison between their club and another club ? say it isn't true :o

When I said "fine...", it basically means I'm not arguing abut crowds here (as I've moaned enough about others in the past). It doesn't mean I believe the figures

Fair enough. Now that you mention it Bohs didn`t count Git Forrester as an attending fan when you played us in Dalymount a few months ago ( at the insistence of Marino Bohs). t

I was in the Showgies last Sat and the crowd seemed to me to be bigger than the figure given,I couldn't imagine getting another 2k into the ground safely.

A fine crowd of 2435 at Turner's Cross tonight for a game against UCD in the pishing rain. Very pleased with our attendances this season.

Thats a very good crowd for Cork, saw them against Pats last week and the team is going in right direction. However hope they keep control on wages and not pay any crazy money to players as it is a buyers market out there.Plenty decent talent around who can replace the established and overpaid players we have had in the league. The crowd in Tallagh looked very poor on tv, I suppose the rain may have kept the Shamrock fans at home.

It's a pity Longford can't seem to get the support up. We have been dreadful at home so our dropped attendances were to be expected.

A decent crowd in bray last night considering the conditions, probably around 1300-1400 at it with about 500 pats fans who did alot of singing in the rain, fair play to them all.

2400 estimated on extratime for the Shamrock and Drogs game, I know the time and TV coverage tells against the attendance but it is disappointing all the same, what a fickle bunch we are in Irish support in general and football in particular.
betting for 2012 foot.ie attendance thread winners.
Shamrock 4/6
Cork 5/2
Sligo Rovers 4/1
Others on application.

A poor enough crowd at Pats for a game that could have moved them closer to the top. There seems to be a limit to what they can achieve support wise which means they will always be behind Bohs who had a good support at Tolka last night. Maybe monday night suits a rural club like Monaghan in order to get the crowds in.

Who was it used to play their games on a Thursday night, Dublin City? Although that was probably in the blind hope of a few fans of other clubs turning up...

Dundalk used play Thursdays when they were in the first, and possibly for a season or two in the Premier

1,000 home fans for a monday game is better than last year. 30 Dundalk fans is about 1/10th of what they brought last year. we definitely have a low enough ceiling though
What was the split of the Bohs/Shels support? I'd imagine 50/50?

Looked like about 800 Bohs fans in the Riverside, presumably Shels have the ticket stubs and can give an accurate figure. Poor crowd overall for a traditional Dublin Derby. Monday night really is a poor night for fixtures ( as the Setanta has shown)
