They knocked out Levski Sofia last season and lost respectaby to Lokomotiv in the Europa playoff. Looks like it'll be a tough one for Sligo.
If they get knocked out at least then they can concentrate on finishing second.

If St. Pats get past IBV, then their "reward" is a 2nd leg tie with Siroki Brijeg of Bosnia.
I'd fancy Pats to beat them. We thought we were going to be playing them last year instead of Ljubliana.

Boleslav are a handy enough team, nice little stadium about an hour or just over that from Prague. Got into Europe due to Sigma Olomouc going though some match fixing issues over here

Thór were relegated from the 12 team Icelandic Premier last season. They're in Europe because they managed to win the Icelandic Cup. Squad seems mostly intact from last season.
Bohs still won't win.

What's your basis for that prediction?

If Bohs aren't better than an Icelandic 2nd tier team they may all give up football.

They lost 4-1 at home to Valur in the Cup a couple weeks ago. Might be an indicator of their potential?

Common sense really. Should keep the costs manageable and by flying direct it gives the teams the best chance of getting success.

They did!! We told Delaney, we're all going on a Stags to Iceland which will be a massive ****-up. He immediately offered to foot the bill but only if he could come along. This fella must like a drink or two?

It is a lot easier now to pick up coefficient as country ranking is not the main thing.
Since 2009 you now get coefficient depending on what round you go out in, even the 1st.
I am delighted with Shamrock Rovers, Pats and Bohs' draw. Not an easy one for Rovers but Bohs & Pats should get through.
Second round will be harder but Pats have a good chance though Bohs could be in trouble.
Sligo getting Trnava isn't great, they finished only 2 points behind Zilina. Will be a tough one but they did very well against Poltava last year.
After last years good results it is vital teams get as much wins/draws as possible to get a good country ranking this year.

Bohs should get through against Þor, if they don't then they are truly beyond redemption.
It was by a freak that Þor got to the cup final where they got hammered. They just play football there as something to do to keep fit for the handball season.
Bin liners and masking tape recommended, if a bit of sleep is required the night before the game.
Freaky stuff with Pats getting IBV again.
IBV had a shaky start to the league campaign but have found their mojo after game 4 and are sitting in mid table. The latest news is they are planning to play the home game at home on the island and not in Reykjavik like last time. They just have a bit of work to do install a small stand.
Unless Pats come here with a 2 goal lead in the bag, they are a goner and (it should go without saying) unless Pats successfully drag IBV down to their level.
Charter flight is recommended :)
Both games will be available on the club's web site.

The match will be played on the Island alright, nightmare getting back from, we miss the early Fridat flight so have to stay overnight in Stanstead airport.
Drag them down to our level? You obviously haven't seen us pay this season.

Game is confirmed for the island.

Bohs Charter flight confirmed, is it shared with Pats and will the Bohs fans be kept back by the Gardai for 15 minutes at departures? Will there be a discrete security curtain on board to seperate the fans?

The beauty of the 0-0 draw shows itself again today. Portadown will be happy after their 0-0 away in Macedonia in their first round Europa League first leg tie whereas Linfield will be disappointed with their 0-0 draw at home to B36 Torshavn from the Faroe Islands in the Champions League game.

It seems Linfield were pretty dominant from the statistics I've seen; just couldn't make their pressure pay. Peter Thompson missed a first-half penalty and Mark McAllister had a goal disallowed in the second. Tórshavn did strike the post, mind.

We've seen enough in Europe to know results can go wrong, Belgrade probably thought that after Rovers last season. Still though, all going well, both clubs should be going through. It's the minimum expected of clubs from our league. Round 2 is where it gets tricky and we'll possibly see some attrition.

To all LOI teams in Europe: Please do very, very well in order to boost the credibility of the league, or very very badly so that we can laugh at you.
