Its a simple question .... if you cant answer ... then don't write anything ... thanks .... i'm curious ... if we get into first qualifying round again, we might win a game. It looks like we are not going to win many this year! Thank god for St Pats down the last few years in fairest
Anyhow hopefully St Pats and Sligo can do something on Thursday
I can ignore the poor spelling, and lack of sentences.
But... do you... really talk, like... stevie... from... malcom... in the... middle?
Because that's what you type like.
(a polar bear walks into a bar...)
Then when you do manage coherence its either sensationalist nonsense or fud. I can only conclude that either english isn't your first language or you're a member of the media.
But to answer your question. The bottom 6 teams, of 50 odd, enter the cl in the first round. We're currently mid to low thirties. So long as one team does well occasionally it won't happen anytime soon.
What will happen is three teams in the first round of the el. Which should in theory make three teams progressing through a round possible.
Also I believe this statement
Thank god for St Pats down the last few years in fairest
to be at odds with everything else you've said about how teams should progress, and how poor this year will be in general. You don't seem to be alone in this delusion.
If seeding worked like some people seem to think then we would never have got this far. Yes the seeded team should fancy their chances of progress over two ties, but this is football.

Did anyone notice the Luxembourg team sneaking into the next round by knocking out Salzburg. Amazing
Also interesting to see how much improved Cyprus are, think they are in the top 15 now?
And Finns seem to be on a roll at the moment with 5 teams still there.
Watched the game last nite with a few London hoops. Awful game, kenny is rubbish and i wonder will they even qualify for Europe if they continue with him.

F91 Dudelange. Interesting history behind this club as 3 teams in the same town merged in 1991 to create one that was financialy stable. 10 years and they dominated domestically and now in the 3rd Champ League round. the 3 teams that merged all had a decent history of their own so was a big chance to take; though the town is only about 20k. Maybe Dundalks 3-3 draw away to Grevenmacher wasnt such a bad result after all :p

A Shams, Bohs, Pats merger managed by Roddy Collins would be a thing of beauty.

I swear i wasnt implying that such a thing should happen in LoI, Shelbohsfarm FC, Shamrock Athletic College both ground sharing the Aviva. Of course there could be Dundrogs playing out of a state of the art pie in the sky 10k seater stadium in Ardee. Sligo Harps, SD Limerick sure the potential is endless....Rico, Roddy, Dolan, Bucko all guarenteed jobs for their LoI lives

Any live streaming anywhere I wonder?
Same question??
So what you're saying is bohs are to blame for the financial arms race - that saw teams spending money they didn't have, just trying to keep up - which ultimately lead the league to progress to its' current basket case scenario? :D
nah, that was Shels.... :)

Judging by the Sligo Rovers twitter feed it's only Ocean FM providing commentary tonight, no video broadcasts as far as I'm aware.

So.......... SD Galway/Mervue United/GUSTFC were to merge, we could get Galway/United/STFC !

Sligo have all the game but cant scored then give away a soft goal from a free ....... They have alot to learn in European football, cant finish off they chances and the goals they give away are very poor.
Looks like the game is up for Sligo. Pats 1 up at half time (Good to see John Russell bounce back from pen miss last week) seem to be in control but the sooner they get the 2nd the better.

St. Pat's commentators laughing and gloating about being "Ireland's #1" in the wake of Sligo going behind was poor form.
