That was mad alright, fair play to the brave souls who stayed on the Camac terrace for the duration!

Uhhhhh, what?! There was 560 there. That's a usual UCD v Bray crowd. Why did they report such a wildly inaccurate figure? Was that on the radio?

Yeah; report from Siobhan Madigan(?) on Saturday Sport about a minute before kick- off

Giving the crowd a few minutes before ko in Belfield is an awful idea.

Wouldn't even be just before kick-off either. They'd probably glance at the main stand ten minutes before kick-off - the weather was nice before the game started, so there were a fair few on the other side under the press box - make up a figure and then worry about what they're going to say in their preview; by the time they get on air, the figure is nonsense. I know we don't have the biggest crowds in the league, but that still doesn't excuse reporting nonsense.

It wasn't just in passing though; they had a long piece about you moving your games last night i think, so they were asking with that in mind

Incidentally, the final of the AIL Cup between Cork Con and someone at the weekend had 500. Just as a comparison.

It was even worse than it appears. There were four clubs involved, Rainey OB played Youghal in the Junior Final and Cork Con played St Mary's College in the Senior.
I met a Rainey OB at Connolly station who said that there were four or five buses coming from Magherafelt, so assumed the total crowd would run into thousands. Talked to a bloke this evening who said there were only 5-600, in total.

I would go with around 1700 myself. There was maybe 200 empty seats with the same amount stand up at the back of the stand and around the ground.

Bray vs Cork was about 2300.
Do Cork fans agree with this, incidentally? With respect to Bray, I find it hard to believe that only Cork have higher attendances in the league (following from 2800 v Shels).

Wsn't there but lads on the forum have praised Bray for a big crowd. Bout 300 city fans afaik and people said they thought there was at least 1500 Bray fans. Dunno if it was as big as that but a good crowd by all accounts

Fair enough so. Amazing thing is they only brought about as many to Belfield as Cork did the previous week even though it's their closest game! Talking to a Bray fan after and he said Bray fans just don't do away games for some reason.

there were far more than 250 pats fans in the DK:rolleyes: also there were pats in block a nd b the Jodi so I would reckon the crowd was a 2.1 split in favour of the home side
