I'm almost certain he is the guy that played with ringmahon.

Maybe Boo can answer about healy

Is he from Carrigtwohill? Maybe he has a bit of club loyalty?

On the transfer front i here Premier AUL clubs on both sides of the river will be looking for new goalkeepers!! Wont mention names but a few high profile players!! A very special position , a good keeper is hard to find

AUL rumoured to be losing volunteers after 30 plus years due to the lack of loyalty in modern society.

I am not blaming the "Playstation Generation" - it is the lack of recognition of the fact that it is happening.

MSL rumoured to be losing a volunteer of 40 plus years due to the same lack of recogniton of the increasing pressure the volunteer is under.

The next wave of volunteer is not coming. Ask yourself honestly the following question:

If the small group of volunteers who are the core of every club had to leave for whatever reason, has your club got replacements?

If the answer is yes - I am glad. I suspect in the vast majority of cases, the answer is negative.

Shouldnt we fix it before its too late?

leonard healy is playing with carrig cos its his home town club and he is loyal which is fairly rare these days anyway no offence don't really see what he would have to gain by going to springers with carig looking strong for promotion next season leeside would be a good step up midleton would be a step down seeing as they got relegated this season and looked fairly poor all season and don't think he would up to scratch playing with there senior side

Where Hurley going sharpshooter?? Who ever he signs so is gonna get a top class keeper.
Any other rumours for me?

Fantasia is has been the senior side that hasbeen on to him. My opinion he is a good footballer and a top left back or centre half when played there.

David Cronin signing with garryduff I heard tonight

Hurley supposed to be going back to Bandon. Kinsale's best player lasy year IMO.
Leeside would welcome any player from Carrig, including Ducky, or any other club if it improves the team. Ducky is a good player and has been asked in the past, and has chosen to stay in Carrig.
As for him not getting on the Midleton Senior side, i know many of that team and have played with a few too and again IMO theres certain guys on that team who I believe he is better than, but again footballs all about opinions.

great point horse. i suspect in 9 out of 10 clubs its that core 5-10 people doing the same job now that they did ten years ago.

dont know what the answer is apart from genuine recognition or maybe some token reward to people like a weekend away on behalf of the club or something. its just in some people to do and other not to do. thats life.

bigger clubs with more members of course find it easier.

its not an easy one to solve. the fact i am the only one to answer you (i think) tell it's own story perhaps as to where this subject sits in the priority list.

in fairness players need to concentrate on playing but when they finish should probably put it back into the club.

problem is which club as fellas move so much now.

ducky would get into most teams, thats why i was wondering why he was still at carrig down in that level, i meant the midleton senior side, and leeside as that would be a step up!! thanks for the clarifaction lads!!

I agree - the next wave of volunteers is not coming through. It is a thankless job at times and I do feel it is important for all club members to acknowledge the contribution of the their committee's, helpers and managers each season along with the guys running the leagues, we can all make complaints about improving the system but it is always easier to tell others what they've done wrong rather than offering to help out.

Example: look at something as simple as websites. All clubs could/should have one. The older guys running the clubs normally don't have the experience/confidence to get a club online - there isn't exactly a queue of younger guys offering to do it. As well a lot of the clubs that do have a website are actually paying to do it (someone like leagues.ie), i.e. can't find a volunteer in the club so have to spend more of their hard fund-raised money on the website. Don't get me wrong the likes of leagues.ie do a great job but surely most clubs will have a few guys that are computer literate enough to put together a club website???

No Villaman10 Coleman Mulcahy is taking over Boscoes & is bringing some top players with him, Johnny Barrett, Coleman Coady, and I think O Learys and Daly from Midleton are going to. Colemans brother Barry and ex Leeside/Youghal player Ken Dempsey coming up training team.

fella from mallow is tom daly he is playing senior and is not going to bosco's id say. Its thomas o leary (older one) and damien daly both midleton junior players who are going to bosco's apparently with a few more to follow would not be surprised to see a few more players who are not local join them also Coleman Mull has a lot pull with players

Glenbuck, he deserves to move to the top (if I have picked up your heavyweight reference correctly). Unfortunately, more than referring skills seem to count. I would have him up there not far from the Gene level. Why? Common sense.

The 5 refs of the season picked by the various leagues.......................who pays the ferryman? Where is Blackstone's vote for the 600plus quid we paid out?? Coincidently, this season, we would have voted for the winner but that is not the point is it?
