A few people on this thread do not seem to be associated with any clubs or they are telling a few porkie pies!!! Ye seem to care about the game by the quality of your posts. I would advise ye to get involved with some club - any club. Even if ye have limited time, people who care about our football are few and far between. Any club, it doesnt matter. They will benefit from yer knowledge and enthusiasm and ye will benefit from the warm fuzzy feeling a win gives!!! More than welcome down our way in any shape or form, as Im sure all other clubs would say. "Time is as valuable as money".

I assume you are talking about me? I have friends in most northside clubs so i hear alot of information.

Dixie i think what Horse means is that if you have an interest in AUL football but are unattached why not get involved with someone - there are a few on here who are "unattached" - seems a waste really with clubs ALWAYS looking for volunteers. I for example went to Blackstone last year to join the commitee and i was coerced into management!!

Hi Olachico, i am looking to get back that was the reason I came on here to see who was looking for Volunteers!

Well Dixie pleny of clubs are looking for people - so you should have no problem. i know Blackstone would be delighted with some extra help if you are interested

No, Dixie. There are a few on the site who seem unattached and I meant to say it before. You just reminded me!

Our hon secs number is on the AUL site and he will give you my number. He knows to expect a text from Dixie's Cousin.

Ola was not coerced into management............we just wanted to keep him away from the money!

Thanks for the confidence trouble. One game at a time! Ourselves & Pearse always have a good battle.

Boo, what's happening in Leeside? A good management team in place, was it player power or Committee decision? Usually one or the other.
Horse, just to clarfiy I've played with Castleview always and I'm currently a paid up member. I give Ian o'Brien a hand with under 6,7,8,9 teams every friday. If Dixie is looking for a club he's more than welcome. Was up in club last night and saw Central Park is being fenced in. Castleview development officer said ourselves and Central are both financing the development which includes a floodlight training area. Castleview will then have full use of Central Park. He said Central were looking for someone to share and help develop for the last few years. As a Castleview man I shouldn't say but can't believe northside clubs have missed out on what I believe was a great opportunity. As far as I know this pitch has a 99 year lease which would entitle clubs to apply for grants and build/develop as much as they want. On the playing side we're away in the FAI to our former tenants Postal Celtic this weekend in Mayfield. Hopefully a win and an away draw somewhere up the country.

killer it a pity not only will a team be affected but now the b team that are doing so well

Dixie's Cousin
25/11/2010, 11:12 AM
Is there a reason why Castleview took on Central?

The 'View
25/11/2010, 12:29 PM
From what I understand Castleview are struggling with too many teams and not enough pitches, so this extra pitch will help. A few weeks back they had 9 home games in one weekend. The story with Central is they had money but not enough to fully fence pitch. I know they have had lots of games off over the years because of horses or motorbikes on their pitch doing damage.

No I aint connected with Corinthians MSL!, was just wonderin what Carrig were like and how Leeside B game went against Carrig. I know it was a 3-3 draw, just wonderin how the game went and was a draw a fair outcome.

Finally, some interesting developments up in Leeside - ???!!!???

Ah no lads, I think ye are picking me up wrong about the unattached people. Im not have a dig in the slightest. The first rule of getting things for your club is "ASK". I saw that in an FAI book and its true.

Trouble, Too many wrong people have my number.......whats another few????

Great news for Castleview and Central. It really is a win-win situation. Well done to both clubs.

Nah, Trouble, I was thinking game ahead - Pearse this week.

Hope its sorted out up in Gratts. Sad to lose a good clubman, but if he ends up down the Island, best of luck to him and them.

We dont mention refs by name - check the MSL site!

Three general football issues - sad to see FAI laying a dozen people off. Any technical people in there I wonder?

FAI have announced the cuting of prices in the Aviva - good to see them learning from errors of others.

Are the refs coming into Scotland passing the picket?
