one of the best full backs in the game and is out with blarney seniors.from what ive heard on your second point i believe your dead right.

What about Conroy and Egar? From watching Blarney St. these were good clubmen. Not sure what Committe are at, seem to be looking at short term success, which will end in long term sorrow.

I must say that the amount of players that are changing clubs is ridicilous, a lot of this is down to the antics of certain managers continually tapping up players, there can never be loyalty with a lot of these clubs as players who have been with clubs for any length of time are being pushed out of teams by the new flavour of the month. It is particularly bad in the Northside clubs at the moment and because of this carry on, good clubs with managers who don't go around tapping up other clubs players are paying the price. These managers need to remember they are not managing Premiership clubs, this is local football. In recent times we have seen Ballyvolane B, Glenthorn B, Leeds B and quite likely Grattan B all pulled out of leagues. Some of these fellas need to cop on to themselves and we all know who they are. I know Shetland rubs a lot of fellas up the wrong way on this site, but one thing for sure is that he would never carry on like some other fellas I know. The sooner this deadline is over the better for the honourable clubs that are left.

I know what your saying RADIOSTAR but if i was a manager i would ''beg, borry and steal'' to sign players anychance id get!!
Now I wouldnt go signing a fella to make him a squad player but you have to ask guys that would make your team better and if a player is happy well theres no harm done........until he goes around telling guys this fella called to me and this guy rang me getting carried away with himself.
Thats when the heated debates happen on here.

Well lads alot of comments and negative talk about us !! Tut tut. Lads we have never come on here and openly critise anyone or club.

Coachford 2 Blarney St 1

Been honest we got what we deserved. Taught we could have held out but didn't and they got a 2nd with 3 to go. 1st we seemed comfortable had a few chances and coachford had there's too. Scored a sloppy goal but as anyone involved in football will tell ya 'i'll take that". 2nd half we could hold on to the ball coachford were just coming at us in waves. Scored with 10 to go and a winner with 3:-( inswinger well done!

Now for a few points to be cleared up.
backpass :The handshake
derek was fuming still at the conceding of what we felt was an offside goal with 3 to go and left the pitch as he didn't want to confront the ref. Now he did go to look for Malcom in the dressing room only to be told he was down the pub. And if you want to confirm it , just ask Danny dunne as that's who he asked.

Scaffa / Shetland : tapping up!!!
No coincidence it is ye both bring this subject up as we signed players from yer respective clubs. Both Crowe and Gary had told there clubs the were not playing for them anymore hence we asked them to sign for us.
Scaffa you were told about telling porkie pies by the player himself about missing games so no need to try tarnish our reputation. On spud he asked us could he train so take that up ourselves. Good to hear ye have brought in a few yerselves and I hope ye keep up the good work ye have done these last 6 months.

Whoever else! Derek not been liked

a bit low lads trouble scaffa Shetland the view, I can fell you Derek has the respect of all in the club and those around us. We all have people we do not get on with but to put this up on foot.ie is very disapointing and disrepectful.

Players leaving!
Alan Conroy , liam eager Paul hogan and Wayne o Leary have left. Yes all were clubmen. For between 8 and 3 years depending on which you are on about. We would have loved to hold on to all of them but to reasons that differ for each the felt the need to move.

Again I will say lads you have to look to improve all the time. If you are happy with what you have it won't he long before the slide starts, weather it's Man Utd Madrid Kinsale St john boscos you have to be on the look out for ways to improve .

Wilton next week so hopefully we can get 3 points on the board.

Shetland did Paul Hogan leave Blarney St. He's a good player. From talking to people seems that the Blarney St. manager is not the most popular or the most likeable guy to deal with.

Cas, I didn't say I don't like ye're manager I don't know him, I just repeated what people told me and some of those are Blarney St. players and former players.

Good post Radio, absolute joke whats going on out there from what ive seen and heard. All these guys who show no loyalty wont be any different at their new clubs and in the meantime good clubmen are being forced out. In fact ive seen it over the years, these are not clubs but just teams who if one goes 5 may follow. Come the start of the next season these guys could all move again and your reliable clubmen are long gone. Cant understand teams signing 5/6 players this time of the year, managers may think it smart as guys will be unable to move after tonight, but what does it do for moral and team bonding when lads are dropped over the next couple of weeks.

Hi lads, just want to help clarify something in relation to our game (Coachford’s for those not familiar with me) against Blarney Street that some posters have commented on

In relation to the handshake that never was, understandably the Blarney Street manager was upset in losing, I know he should have shaken hands as all the players and team members did once the game finished but he was upset with losing and made an error. Mr Stokes had not gone to the pub just to clarify he was in the dressing room for 25 mins after the game I know this as I was in the pub after the shower and Malcolm was still in the grounds, I can only presume there was a communication mix up after, I know the Blarney Street manager rang Mr. Stokes today to apologise for the incident and it was accepted, they know each other a long time so there is no problem there whatsoever. So that should be the end of it.

On some of the comments made in relation to the said manager, I found some of the comments attributed to him by some posters who admit they do not him personally pretty harsh to be honest lads. If you are going to post a comment on someone’s character publicly than that information should not be coming from somebody else. You are in no position to judge anyone unless you know him. In my opinion it’s a cowardly way of demeaning someone.

This is a great forum lads for those who post & those who just read it and it would be a pity to go down the line of a similar forum on the site. Where people mostly just throw insults at each other.

Casilles i have to say your summary was pretty much bang on and very honest, fair play, i think we shaded it in a pretty poor game, maybe not helped that its our 3rd time playing ye this year and the pitch was a bit bumpy after the frost. Delighted to get 3 points and some lads got a run that had nt played in a few months. Big squad and more importantly good squad so everyone is on their toes, looking forward to Macroom and making sharpshooter fire a few blanks!!

Very disapointed to see Castleview, Park and Kinsale exiting the FAI, we had scouts in Knocka for the Wicklow Rovers game to get the lowdown, hoping we can keep the flag flying for a while yet. Kinsale s first loss of the year at the and of January, no shame in that.

I know i would be upset if someone posted that about me. All the more reason not to say anything about him if you do nt know who he is.

From what i heard they thought they were a good football side & kept the ball really well, not the most physical though. The incident with the ball coming on the pitch was bizarre, Pat Murphy is a good ref we had him earlier this year, great to hear good reports when the ref does well. Thanks View we ll do our best and hopefully that ll be good enough, club is buzzing it would be a great achievement to teach the last 16.

Reading some of the posts with interest lads and i have to say i agree with a few of them concerning the amount of players moving at the moment. For me some players, some who are gifted players, have this notion that they can do as they please jumping from one club to the next, not training as hard and expect to be playing every week. These are the guys who disrupt the balance of the team and p**s the main people of the club off, who are the true clubmen. The guys who have been there year in year out and who are suddenly cast aside when a few guys come in who couldnt care less about the club, and head for the hills as soon as the going gets tough. I think these clubmen are taken for granted with some clubs and without them some teams dont realise this until it is too late. Sorry Scaffa, but for me i cant understand why anyone would want to leave Bohs at the moment. A club on the up and flying at the moment, and for me a club id say that will go all the way to the top division sooner rather than later. I dont know the ins and outs of the club but i was just using it as an example.
Its a disgrace how some guys treat clubs but sometimes its the club themselves that are at fault for signing these clowns.

I would just like an honest answer that is really thought through, because personally my thoughts would be that existing players might resent all these new players, thus having a negative effect on team morale!
Maybe there are reasons behind the massive influx of players at each of your clubs(I wouldn't know) It will be interesting to hear your views on it. More importantly though it will be interesting to see how it effects your individual teams results over the coming months!!

To be quite honest myself personally im delighted with the signings been with club 10 years now and are in a great position in the league with a great chance of getting promoted.
Our signings wer badly needed Radiostar we lost 3 key 1st team players in the transfer market and 2 fringe players one through injury and another through work and infairness to the gaffer he acted as fast he could and brought in 6 new signings that should strenghten our team immensly we only had a squad of 18 players so when the 5 lads left we wer badly stuck so with a panel of 19 now it should give a greater incentive for the regular first 11 to raise there game even more to keep their places!

From my last post in order:

Scaff, I should post what I hear in a less smart way - only winding!! Did you say John Cronin is gone - is that the guy with the goals all over the years? Where is he gone?

Have ye protested the Glenthorn result?

Derek Power is the manager of Blarney Street...and Im posting his name deliberately.
I know him a long time and as a bloke, he is a nice guy. As a coach, I am one of many who always admired his training. As a manager, his results seem to indicate that he is doing a decent job. He was a name linked with the AUL job after Minty. Handshake thing blown out of all proportion and I cant imagine Malcolm Stokes at home after the game all upset over it! As a clubman, Derek cares as much as anyone about his club. Someone has it wrong on this one.

Here's a question to tell you how strong the club v team is. Ask yourself how many of your players would 100% be around if you were relegated this season? Our score would be guessed at 15/24 used this year. Some are gone already and I could be too harsh on the rest.Thats not a bad ratio.

If a fella hops to your club, then he will hop from your club!!

Should your manager worry about that when signing players - not club hoppers like OLA.....? I think so. A manager has to buy into the club as a whole - big or small.

Very hard to carry 2 keepers, so a versatile guy like Mr Cronin is an ideal candidate.

Unlucky to the teams representing the People's Republic - Best of luck to Coachford, Wilton and Springfield.

Fair play Radio for posting. You could have said nothing about the AUL team. Fair play to them for what they did.

We brought in 4 players in total in transfer window, Gary Murphy who scored two against Blarney St, has played with the club since underage and could nt commit at the start of the season signed when he could commit and he had been coming to watch a few games here and there. Michael O Sullivan is another local who was playin with Rockmount but wanted to play locally, Liam Eager came from Blarney St and is a welcome addition & a great lad to have involved and Danny Dunne whom the manager had managed for a few seasons was a no brainer, pure quality and has took to Coachford like a duck to water, a nice lad who like Liam enjoys the craic. I have to say anyone who joins us is welcomed with open arms and treated no different, anyone who played with us down through the years from Town or elsewhere always talk fondly of their time out in the country!!

The lads have brought more competition and in a long season everyone is going to be needed as people will be missing through injury, work, holidays, etc. I can say without fear,as i m one who has been with the club since under age that competition is something we did nt have in abundance over previous seasons and it certainly puts everyone on their toes and makes training competitive resulting in better fitness levels and enhanced performances on the pitch.

i believe the ref in the second half covered more ground than the one in the first half - the ref also tried to let the game flow as much as he could - and when there was no advantage brought things back and gave a free!! he also didnt rule a player offside when the player ran from his own half - the ref in the first half did that - worst decision of the night!! Thats why he was dragged off and replaced at half time!!

No worrys Horse pinch of salt!!
As regarding your question on John Cronin yes he has left us to join Blackpool Celtic on the basis of taking them over next year as manager.John was a great servant to Bohs over the 13 years he was with us and as you said he was the guy with all the goals for us all over those years.Guaranteed to hit 25+ every season and has more golden boots for the club that i think no one will ever beat so we wer left with a very big hole to fill.
But the gaffer signed very good young fellas like Deccie Gostal and Christy Drisscoll who hopefully can fill that hole.
On the Glenthorn situation id rather not say anything till the matter is dealt with.

We have brought in 3 to replace 3 so its not like there is a massive influx of players. all three have played with the club before so all our current squad know them well. I think its good to bring in players to freshen things up and give an extra incentive for players to prove they a worthy of a start.

Also a big squad is essential as people can be working some weeks or not available due to holidays etc so having cover is a must in premier a (aka the championship, with so many people taking points from each other)

time will only tell if they will be successful moves but i know all three lads are good players and will improve our squad!
3 keepers is it .?FROM MY CALCALUTIONS ,yee requested five from ballyvolane alone, three that went when b team folded and 2 that were sent to aul without sec signing the form, and because it arrived to late with registrar.wouldnt be playing them without clearence from league any time soon.

Lost john Cronin one of best strikers in aul to Blackpool but as far as I know he's taking them over next year although huge loss I understand his reasons and wish him all the best..

Also lost his brother our keeper David Cronin and this one baffled me to be honest he was captain of our club and is regarded by many as top 2 in the AUL he got recognised as that playing with bohs so for him to just up and leave for Blarney St was a mistake in my opinion but can't make people stay even if there only looking to be asked to stay that's my opinion on it nobody bigger than the club..

Signings are exciting young Jason daniels and Wayne o Leary are good prospects tommy martin in goal and one or two more things are looking good for us roll on pearse saturday.....
