Oceans Thirteen - what a trilogy, Classic.

Have to disagree. Ocen's 11 was very good but hardly a classic Ocean's 12 was average at best and 13 was worse again. If you think these films a classic cinema you really need to broaden your horizons

Your opinion is just that, yours. I find oceans twelve to be a lesser film than the other two but still for modern day films it is great. Perhaps time needs to go by a bit for it to be appreciated.

Saying that for a modern day trilogy in it's genre then it is definately a classic. It is impossible to have a cast such as this tht is not over shadowed by the actors.

The storyline is smart, witty, very fast and the twists within the movie are always sheer quality and unlike other films don't need to leave the realm of reality to explain the preceding story.

Watched "As Good As It Gets" with my eldest last night. Am so glad he can now watch some of my favourite movies with me. When I chased him to bed he even quoted my favourite line from the movie "sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here"

Aw love it. Jack at his best.

Reminds me of Alan Partridge's claim the his Military based TV quiz "Skirmish" had the best ratings(for that time of day in the Norwich area). Serioulsy how many crime/comedy trilogys are out there?

Untraceable, with Diane Lane as an FBI cyber unit agent. Pretty intense stuff. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

Well for me Oceans 12 was one of the worst movies I have ever seen and only the kids wanted to stay I would have left the cinema during it. With that in mind I have avoided Oceans 13.

The critical consensus was that the third film was significantly better, though not as good as the first one.

I saw the first one and I liked it. I haven't bothered seeing the others because of lukewarm reviews.

Hancock - very poor. Thank God it only lasted 80 minutes or so. Finished off the mist earlier in the week and was also disappointed. Class ending though.

Thought the mist wasnt too bad would of been better if the creatures hadn't of been a bit B movie ish

Because of numerous long haul flights in a short period I ended up seeing Ocean's 13 four times in the space of a month. I can honestly say I still found it enjoyable on the fourth viewing. It's fluff but enjoyable fluff that's very easy to watch.

I've seen about half of Ocean's 12 and it looks dire, I enjoyed the first one.

Was 13 in Amsterdam? I think 12 was ok but 13 was shockingly bad, think I switched it off with 30 minutes to go it was so bad.

Swap what I said for 12 & 13 then. One of the worse movies I have seen in recent years.

Saw A History of Violence. Surprisingly mainstream movie for David Cronenberg. Good commentary of violence creates more voilence.

Taped "Munich" recently and watched it the other night. Highly dissappointing especially considering the subject matter. The film was simply one assination after another. I know we were being asked in the end to question wether there where any differences between state terrorists and terrorists but the the film was one long snore fest. What should have been a very interesting movie instead was a dead loss - two and a half hours of my life wasted. 2/10.

Wouldn't go as low as 2/10 but disappointing film given the potential. I believe those killings took place over very long period of time so maybe difficult to put that to screen.

Aye but a film on the hunger strikers could have been portrayed with a bit more taste and not sold out to attract the wider audience. H3 is by far a better movie than some mothers son and hunger.

"We're not drinking effing Merlot."

I heard that sales of the Merlot grape went down and sales of the grape the character recommends Pinot Noir(?) shot up for Californian and European wines after the release of the film.

Watched a few movies over the weekend. Took my 11yr old to see Four Christmases in the Cinema and boy do I regret it. Not only was it below average but they may have ruined christmas in our house. It was a 12A movie but didnt realise that til we were in there and I kinda thought it couldnt be too bad and he is fairly mature for his age so took him in. Big mistake. There is a scene where basically a young kid is told his father is Santa. My 11 yr old was a borderline believer and this was our last year with Santa visiting. Am so gutted.

Also saw Superbad and Lucky Number Slevin finally over the weekend. Superbad was disappointing but did enjoy Lucky Number Slevin except for the moronic "you dont know what you just watched so we will explain it all to you now" part at the end. Hate the way they think we cant "get" the plot.
