No place for DO'Grady ? - - - one of the best full backs in the League IMO
Planners

Spoke to him and he said he wouldnt be there , probably on the **** the night before anyway - he must be looking for excuses already - tends to get taken off alot in games or just dosnt start !!
Funny he had ideas he'd get on the Irish Junior team

How would an OT team only have the bare 11? surely they would just call up a few more players, doesn't even make sense

There out, 4pm on a Saturday and nothing to play for, can't imagine they'll put up too much if a fight
Oscar Traynor isn't seen as a prestigious competition to most leagues anyway.
not sure they even entered last year.

I'm not disagreeing with you just saying the fact that if they can only put out the bare 11 considering they can pick players from all of the Desmond surely they would at least get together 16 half decent players. Doesn't show a great interest whether they are out or not is my point

Thankfully this Clare set-up will be only interested in how they and their players approach this game and won't be taking anyone for granted.

irrespective if the desmond league put out their best team or a team dragged together, it is of no concern to clare.
progress straight to a qf is all that matters
best of luck to the lads tomorrow

Hopefully, you can never have too many signed! No point in signing players who can't kick a ball either though

Cheeky with a brace
Heard from a referee they got lucky for their winner. High ball in and the keeper dropped the ball through his hands or something like that..

Good reports on Munster champions cup final in both local papers. Pity they can't do it more often. Damn Gaa haha

Ya credit where its due, both papers gave great coverage of the build up to the game and the game itself. In fairness though it was a munster champions final and we should expect this. It would be great if we promoted our game and all the leagues a bit more in the local papers to try get more youth involved in the game

Lads just wondering has it ever been the case that a side has not played at least 1 league game by christmas in Clare before. Avenue will possibly play their first league game on January 5th 2014. The following week is Fai, Fai again the following week again if we advance. Munster junior against newmarket the following week which is then followed by oscar traynor. All this before the clare cup has even started so it looks like we will have 1 or 2 league games played by february...we better cancel the summer so lol.
Ps. Happy xmas to all

ive being saying it for a long time now, scrap league cup and play 3/4 league games instead, then the pressure is off fixtures congestion. Happened bridge last year when they got to open rounds of both fai and Munster, happening Avenue this season. It's unfair on teams with ambition

ye will be under fair pressure then when ye start the league campaign in february pobably 15 points behind most teams, cancel the shield waste of time
