Tage are must improved alright Mastermind. Only caught the end of the game so hard to judge. Avenue squad is relatively small and have had to go signing new players I believe. Well done to Newmarket. I'm sure every team in the County will be shouting for them...except maybe Rineanna ;)

Injuries and suspensions will do that to a team alright. Stephen mcgann has signed and will be a great addition for us. Agreed about newmarkwt, everyone will want to see them do well. Alot of good results/performances from Clare teams in national and regional competitions in last year or 2 shows that their is good quality in our league

they still had to win it no matter how bad the opposition are and a big scoreline also a help. but agree Olympic will face way better teams of the rest of the season After last weeks performance it was good to get a win on the board, still need to lift it though some sloppy play in the second half that maybe the better teams would capitalise on, and stupid out of Damian for that red card, we have signed Cha Argue as a keeper recently so hopefully another good addition!

don't think cha has signed he is out for rest of season with foot injury , he signed for Olympic a year or so back only played a couple of games and hard to judge him on that

Was it just the round three draw made last night?

Good draw for premier teams. Cant see Lifford beating Avenue if Avenue are back to full strength when the game comes along. If Rineanna get through their 2nd round game their match up with Newmarket garners interest although I expect Newmarket will firmly want to put them back in their place after their previous encounter. Sporting have the ability to beat Tulla if they get by the Bridge B while the Ennis Town v Turnpike game should be fiesty with a large proportion of both sides made up of Eire Og players.

in fairness he had one or two problems under age with hibs but it has been a long time since he has been sent off ? i'd say a few other players on clare have a lot worse Discipline records

how is it irrelevant other peoples records especaily when thay are a lot worse than caseys ... now barred from playing gaa is irrelevant on a clare league soccer forum .. i may be wrong here but i think this is his first time being sent of in two seasons in clare league ? not a bad record talking of loose cannons a certain long time avenue player has a lot worse record and a few newmarket lads and finally lifford keeper now he's a loose cannon :D

Dont know what were going to do for a keeper now, cant see Russell coming back after "retiring", Burren at the weekend again hopefully they arent our bogey team:p

Russell could be a better keeper but he is a drama queen, with injuries he over exaggerates them and when he makes a mistake he takes it to heart, never just takes it on the chin and get on with it, I like Peter just needs to sort the drama out.

It appears Avenue have got the points for their match against Corofin. If my maths are up to scratch it looks like they were awarded a 3-0 win. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Yep Avenue were awarded a 3 nil. I think thats the standard result for walkovers. Supp doesnt make much diff when the league isnt decided on goal diff.

Thanks for that, probably the right decision. Fair play to Newmarket at the weekend, the whole county will be behind them for the semi final. Some great cup fixtures also! Thank feck the Sunday Soccer is back before everyone lost interest.

what did you expect when only one team had 9 players and to think you left a so called b team game earlier in the day above at hibs you had a chance to see the cream of Shannon soccer today :D
