MFA Rules don't allow for the team on the home side of the draw to play the game at their home ground, never has. You get to play it in your home county but not your own ground, after that it's the MFA that decide on the venue. Gate gets split 3 ways after expenses (ie. referees fees) have been paid - 33% to the MFA and 33% to each of the teams.

Good info there.
cheers

Just out of interest do newmarket then have to pay for the pitch.. surely not after all the times they have helped out the league

when is that semi final on. would be great for newmarket to win and get to a munster final . and that momentum would help the OT as well i think. best of luck to everyone in it.

I see bridge. Play avenue Wednesday and then Ennis town Sunday, two teams they have played already in first round, but still have to play 3 other teams yet. This week could make or break a team before first round of games are over, might be late in the year but early in the season, totally wrong for a club to be in this situation.
How can this happen?

Its not just the bridge that are affected by these fixtures..

Im sure if bridge/avenue or ennis town have a problem with this they will object.. but I can't see the problem.. ya not ideal but have to play everyone twice anyway..

Yes I agree, but also you must agree its nice to see how a season is panning out after playing everyone, if the Clare league want to be organised and have a good finish to there season, well I think this is a simple thing that needs to be right.

Any match report from the Newmarket game the weekend? What was the team? They have a big couple of weeks ahead.

Newmarket had a full strength team, as said earlier Rineanna lost 3-1. Rineanna took the lead through a set piece straight off the training ground.
Daithi levelled the game on the hour mark but was about six yards offside, Stephen Kelly scored the second with ten mins to go with what can only be described as a cross. Duck scored a free kick in the last kick of the game from a very dubious call from the Ref.... and to top it all off, they forgot to turn on the hot water for the showers i have been told.... Best of luck in the FAI semi final.....

Rineanna goal was a GK error.
Daithi's goal was a well timed run from a long way out to just meet the ball with the most deft of touches.
Stephen's goal was a peach of a goal, catching the keeper off his line.
Darren's goal was just one of those that he hits all too frequently and go in all to infrequently.
Game was a one sided affair even if Rineanna did take the lead. Better finishing by Newmarket would have killed the game as a contest early on but fair play to Rineanna they showed they are way better than a 3rd Division side. They will kick most teams in that division into submission.

As for the showers, sorry about that oversight. Good luck to Rineanna on their quest to return to where they belong. Division 2 :)

I'm not one for getting into an arguement behind a faceless log on but i have to say i think NOF wont go any further , they beat a D 3 side 3-1 with only 2 of the goals coming in the last 10 mins - - if they have any ideas of competing in Munster Junior / FAI { oh sorry they got knocked out of that } or county leagues / cups they seriously need to imprve
On just another point at least the game wasnt played under lights -

Hearing there was a bad incident in the Bridge tonight after the U19 match. Absolutely appalling and disgraceful carry-on from the Ennis Town players if true. Allegedly Bridge players were attacked inside their own dressing room after the game and also the referee attacked. The behaviour of these thugs (who clearly haven't a scrap of interest in playing the game) cannot be condoned and hopefully the book is thrown at them.

I ask a silly question i get a silly answer.....
Do you have the line ups?

On the Bridge game if it is true , hope all players involved get a severe punishment. It has no place in a game of football.
What has happened since the days when you go in hard but as soon as that whistle is blown you shake hands and get on with it...
Few clubs in Clare letting this kind of crap go on.

I see the Clare People didn't include the Rineanna line-up in their report.

Also giving David O'Grady Man of the Match!!!! They need to get a reporter that understands the game.

Thats a big win for shannon olympic, looks like both themselves and bridge celtic will come up automatically with Turnpike going into the playoffs. Obviously theyre is a long way to go and anything could happen but thats how i see it anyway.

The Newmarket manager must of been reading the Clare people this week, trying to make O Grady a centre half?? Fair play to the Tage showed real fight and should take points off the other teams around them.

watched the last 30 mins of avenue game. bridge manager abuses the ref the opposition players and management and his own players all in front of about 100 bridge fans,
young and old, not acceptable really and deservedly sent off.entertaining end to the game bridge pushed on while avenue counter attacked.tbh didnt think time wasting was an issue like the previous post makes out. great result from the tage also, they have really progressed this season and are very hard to beat, it wont b e a 2 horse race anyway now. avenue, rock newmarket and the tage battling it out. when is the q/f cup draw being made?

So you say both were at it and unfair to single 1 out.. only 1 person was sent off.. or were they both time wasting ☺..
I singled out 1 person as he was sent off. He was a great player and is an excellent coach.. but his managmemt skills and respect for others is shameful and ignorant.

You were at the game for 30 mins fair enough, others on here weren't.
To say he abused opposition players and his own players is not true and don't know whatv30 mins u were watching if you didn't hear the abuse from the other side of pitch. This is some site for making a storm in a tea cup :-).

Can't see past avenue going all the way now, not the best side I've seen them have but are very good at grinding results out
