Fair enough, BUT, Just say your team uses B-team players and the team goes on to the 4th maybe 5th round or even on to win:eek:, do you just drop B-team playes because you have used up to many free weekends?, I thought from past years that if a club was involved in FAI that only 1 fixture was made and that being an FAI one.
Ye wont have any of these problems if ye enter the Clare Lg next season:D:D:

Lads, heres one for the books, We play in the FAI Cup this weekend, we have B-team players on the panal for the game but LDMC give our B-team a fixture the same day. If i am correct the FAI is a cup is cup in which a club enters 1 team, yes?. We inform LDMC that both A and B-team players are involved in FAI game but we are told that the B-team must fulfil their fixture. Just wondering what your opinion on this is.
Are they right in telling us that both games should be played or should they have cancelled B-team game?
If that was in the inishowen league there would be no problem in getting the B match called off

In all fairness, what do you expect from the LDMC.................They have one rule for certain clubs and another rule for the rest..........

As far as i know lads, your club would have to apply in writing to your respective Leagues before the season starts to ask for the B team to be free when the club are in the FAI Junior Cup!!
It is the club that play in the FAI Junior thus the better b team players should be allowed a chance to play!! Especially if your 2nd team are playing at a high level!

Lisselton Rovers vs Tralee Celtic
This game is on 2m nite. Lisselton are last years 1/4 finalist but still have yet to assemble there team from last year and have a few injuries.
Tralee Celtic have got off to a great start in Kerry winning all their games to date so i think this could be a big upset.
My Prediction
Lisselton 1-2 Tralee Celtic
Anyone have a result for this game?

Star 1-6 Aisling
Aisling led 3-0 at HT with there only 3 shots on target (one a deflected free kick), where as Star had at least 5 chances in the first half but failed to score from any.
Aisling then scored a 4th on 60th and as Star had all subs used by 60th min, they had a player taken off injured therefore had to play with 10 men for the last 30mins.
Aisling dominated the 2nd half and went on to score another 2 goals as Star tried to pull a few back,
Overall, Aisling deserved the win, and were worthy winners by far on the day.
Best of luck to them for the rest of the comp.
We'll concentrate on the league now, and with a bit of luck a run in a few of the cups.

Star Rvs 1-6 Aisling
This was a comprehensive win for Aisling..The game was over as a contest after 10 minutes with goals from Tony Cusack and a 25 yard Ronan Smalle free kick..Star never really got going and could have found themselves 6 down at half time had it not been for poor finishing and excellent goalkeeping..
Derek Hannon missed Star's best chance of the game at a crucial time mid way through the half when he sliced wide from 8 yards out..
Aisling made it three on 35 minutes when Stephen Goggin rounded off an industrious performance with a fine finish as Star's defence were once again cut open.
Star huffed and puffed after the break but never threatened a comeback.. Chance after chance was wasted before Jason Sheahan eventually got his name on the scoresheet.
Sheehan made it five on 70 minutes with the help of a deflection. At this stage, Star's fitness had all but gone , and there cause wasn't helped by losing Thomas Butler to injury - resulting in them being forced to play out the game a man less, as they had used up all their subs.
A rare mix up in the Aisling box resulted in Laurence Enright turning the ball into his own net in the 88th minute.
Aisling made it six in injury time as Alan Morton uncharacteristically put through his own net to complete the rout for the worthy winners.

Dont know what game you were watching coz, for one it was Monty that missed the chance from 8 yards not Hannon,
Aisling only had 3 shots on target in the first half (one of which was a deflected free kick), so how they could have been 6 up at HT is beyond me........
Monty went off injured bang on 60th min (I asked the ref at that point what was left) so to say 70th is also incorrect, and as for an OG???? the ball was crossing the line and it hit my hand going in (hardly an OG, and was never worth handling or trying to save when 5-1 down and already on a yellow card), other than that you got the rest of you report spot on...........

Lisselton Rovers 0-0 Tralee Celtic (Tralee won 4-3 on peno's)
An awful game played for about 20 minutes in the dark twards the end of the first half.
Lisselton had only 5 starters from last years team and had a host of injuries, in saying that they didnt deserve to go thru as they were very poor offensively.
Credit to Tralee Celtic for going thru but 2nd otr 3rd round would have them detined for the exit of this years fai cup

What do you want to know ? They are currently in the first division and were unlucky not to be promoted last season ending up 3rd. They have started well this season and have good players in vital positions, with a full team they are hard to beat but with Lismore hurlers in a county final I dont know how many that will affect. For your information they are no dressing rooms. What are Ardcroney like we are due to play them away.

We might be poor also with a somewhat weakened side Ballymackey disposed of us last year what are they like compared to them. We had beaten Nenagh Celtic the year before though. Lismore is a nice town - are ye staying at the hotel I think its 55 per room. There are a few nice walks for ye in the morning for ye to clear ye're heads. The Lismore team are a nice bunch of lads and I think "The Classroom" is where they hang out .. the Hotel has a nightclub "Club V" but I'm not too sure if its opened every week it's been a few years since I frequented it. Ardcroney wouldnt happen to have lights would they I rang and left a message about possibly playing on a Saturday but no one has come back as of yet.

I would consider Ballymackey better than Ardcroney.. Ardcroney are a div 2 side with ballymackey in div 1 .. If ye have even an ok team ye will beat them handy imo.. They have no lights but the pitch is pretty good..
Ya we are staying at the hotel all right and i heard something about the nightclub-- we will find some way to amuse ourselves anyway..
Cheers for the info !
