as i stated earlier, a few years ago boro and another team agreed not to play on a certain date at the request of the other team. ldmc stated that they decide the fixture not the teams...the other team were dismissed from the competition. we did not want to progress under those circumstances but we did not have any control over the decisions of the people who run football.
yes but we did not agree to go to yee and play that morning.as i said when i got the phone call half the team were already gone.the referee didnt know about change until he got phone call that morning.we paid him and he was heading home than he got a phone call.

This should have been interpreted by the ldmc to all teams, but as usual more grief, that will drag on and the limerick league have to bring the fai down twice in a month. They should be told get your house in order once and for all by the fai.
The ldmc seem to work on reaction rather than proaction as was the case with the regional affair, but from this case there seems to be two different stories but they can`t both be right.

I was looking at an old FAI Junior Cup Rule Book and it says
Postponed or abandoned games due to weather conditions to be played on opponents ground on the following cup date. Any other abandoned games may be re-fixed by the Key Committee.
Teams seeking a free weekend on a Cup date must notify both your league Secretary and FAI Junior Cup Secretary 14 days in advance of same. Only 1 free weekend will be granted per team if sought.
Teams granted a free weekend and drawn at home will not lose home advantage for the rescheduled fixture.
The above rules may have changed in the meantime. Most "Blanket call offs" are normally re-scheduled for the following weekends but there is nothng in the old rules about this. This may help you.

I'm pretty sure the rule changed this year to avoid end of season fixture congestion

Yes,this seems to be the case as ridiculous as it sounds.
It concerns a youth player who came on as a sub in the shannon town game.
Clubs just will not learn to do the paper work properly,it would be a shame to see regional not going out of town after all the hard work they put in to get this stage.

have to agree with you there pal limerick is a disgrace of a league, more drama than eastenders, this has to stop somewere, how can killmallock be thrown out of comp, match called off in killmallock @1200 then they want ye to travel to limerick for 1.30 kick off,in a pitch that could have been deemed unplayable also,i cant believe that as for ref getting paid twice,id say the boro paid him alright leather, oscar, alidei, boroman, and the other 49 boro users dont bother repling

This week the FAI hope to play 32 games weather permitting, 3 3rd round games,16 4th round games and 13 5th round games. If the games go ahead it would shed some light on the competition but I cant see many games in Dublin going ahead!

Unless the FAi Junior Council come out and say owing to the weather and poor travelling condtions, in the interests of safety all games are off. Very good point though!

As there is a "blanket" call off this weekend, home teams will NOT lose home advantage as per rule.
