what happened in cardiff???
by the way as this is a premier league thread, just said i'd mention that the fairview vrs dromore match could be switched to rathuard on sunday.
dee ryan to fairview how do you know gregg is leaving boro did he tell you alidiei?
i was speaking to bobby greg and he told me he signed for pike.so if bobby said it you would have to believe it.
dared, from a corbally point of view it must be annoying to see 8 or 9 ex players playing with other premier teams.i believe that ye would be up towards the top of the league were these players playing with ye.in saying that though i believe that there are afew reasons why they left and dont want to come back.
1-there are certain individuals in corbally who would love to see them do bad.only afew lads pulling in the right direction.alot of would be "supporters" would only love to see them lose.
2- even though i dont agree with them i know there are many lads who dont want the current management team doing the job, even though imo they are the best by a long shot of anybody who has been involved with the team over the laswt number of years.
3-dont know what its like now but do know and have read it on this site before that corballys training has been crap over the last few years with very poor numbers in attendance.what are the numbers like now?
4-even though yer squad has afew promising young players i feel there is 5 or 6 lads who are dragging ye down and who arent one bit professional.until corbally get rid of these players they wont finish top 4 or 5.thats my opinion anyway.
5-corbally have a history of not looking after there players when they get injured.i know at least 5 lads who have been left out of pocket bigtime over the last 4-5 seasons.until the club sort this out and get lads insured properly ye will find it hard to attract players.
corbally should be looking at the strides that regional and aisling(who by the way played with corbally in 1a afew years back)have been making.they are not doing anything spectacular but are solidly building bit by bit over the last 2or3 seasons.corbally need to start doing the same and need to get rid of alot of the fools who are dragging them down.
best of luck for the season dared.hope things work out well for ye and hope ye get the support ye deserve from those within and supporters of the club.i personally cant see it happening though except from only 1 or 2. too many me feiners in the club.cant see corbally ever all pulling in the one direction.best of luck anyway. ps wouldnt mind hearing your opinion on my comments dared, would you agree with me?i feel they are valid points.
Myself and Christy have a very good relationship with the lads that have left, we regularly have a pint with them and fully understand why they left but i also believe if we had not left ourselfs 5 yrs ago these players would still be with us. We also want to believe that the club and supporters are fully behind us i find it hard to understand why anyone in the club would want us to fail as ive never gotten that feeling from anyone... This year all junior players in the club are insured and want for nothing, that is something we insisted on before taking it on... The hardest part of our job so far has been getting rid of the negetivety(sorry cant spell) in the club and i think we're getting there... i dont want to say anymore on the subject but thanks for your support.

thanks for your reply dared,i understand where your coming from regarding the negativity.when a rot sets in its hard to get out of it.regarding people wanting ye to fail i just get the feeling over the years of what ive been hearing that corbally have afew bad eggs among them floating around the club who aint got a clue and talk alot of b*ll.i understand that you aint going to comment either way.best of luck anyway to yourself and christy.hope ye turn things in the right direction and start heading up the table.

I hope that bobby has not signed for pike because then he would have signed two forms... hate to see him get a silly suspension..

If everyone in the club does what theyve promised to do, we will do very well in the coming seasons... If those promises arent kept then we wont be sticking around... But as i said earlier ive not come across anyone pulling against us yet... We know full well that the most important people in a club are the players and we intend on making sure the mistakes that were made before dont happen again.:ball:

i dont know but upon my oath the youngfella said he signed with pike because i was speaking to him last week aswell and i was asking him would he be interested in signing but in fairness the trip out was too much for him and he txt me last night and thanked me for asking him and said he signed with pike.at least he was man enough and descent enough to txt me.

all this bobby gregg talk is ridiculous. lets face it he isn't the best player in town or anywhere near it for that matter. solid enough definsively and thats about it. would do well with a mid-table team but after that he would struggle to get on. does anyone here believe that he would be starting with boro if alan carroll and aido fitz were playing in the middle. no where near good enough for regional or aisling let alone pike. i believe he is very much overrated.

lads it a lot harder to get players when the club is so far out side the city and u have to use home grown players saying that we won 18 trophies from our youths to our first team last year so the future looks good if we can stay up we signed 2 good players yesterday so hopefully a few new faces will push the players on ;)
dont think so, ye are the only premier team outside the city area, ye have half the county to pick from, just look whats happening with croom and ye!

when you think of all the clubs in the city, 11 premier sides, all fighting for players. think they have an advantage anyway. bottom of the league and making excuses.

Would disagree with you there bud, No matter how good they are they wont be able to attract limericks best, they have a disadvantage in that sense. There is no excuses but what he is saying is true.

Haven't seen much of Bobby Gregg play but i do agree that Ado and Alan were a great partnership in the middle.Ado in my opinion is very underated, top player on his day and it's been very hard for the boro to replace Alan's 20 or so goals a season return!

So it seems
ah ye know what he means.
kinda agree with posters that say he could struggle to get into pike's team.
pike have won the premier a lot in recent years and have also won the mjc.
they are trying their damnest, and rightly so,to win an FAI.
i presume he is cup tied in the both comps.
so he won't be eligible for these.
normally a manager will try to put out his preferred team the previous week in local comps.,which would rule him out as well.
lastly, don't think he would get on ahead of harnett or sniffer...and cannot see him getting in to the back four.
definitely won't get on instead of hanrahan,so he is limited enough to his opportunities.
i may be wrong...but i think time will prove me right

when have you ever read that we are making excuses.we always said it was a big step up and that we are where we are mainly because the step up was too big for a few of us and it was hard to attract a few players out here.so dont be talking **** on here and stick to the topic.also with the addition of the two new signings we should be now strong enough to stay up hopefully.
