Gentleman is pushing it a bit I think Adam. I've never seen a bigger group of rogues in my life.

Taylor made for a swift return to oblivion.

Oblivion Night club in Preston?
Then yes please, wine women and song, what else would an Irish man want!

Oh and by the way never believe what's written in the media, yes some stories are hurtful but on a plus side, it's a good outlet to get what you want!

Good luck Sean.

I'd probably lay off the sauce for a bit. Go out and enjoy yourself once the season is over.

First start for St Ledger last night against San Jose. Played the full 90, but gave away the free kick that led to the Earthquake's winner.

Another phoney with one Irish grandparent who stole caps from those who 'really care'!

Sean St Ledger: ‘I won’t ever close that door. It means too much’ (http://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/soccer/sean-st-ledger-i-wont-ever-close-that-door-it-means-too-much-357968.html)

Google the game and you’ll find the picture accompanying the match report shows him racing away in celebration with Leicester City team-mate and match-winner Jamie Vardy. It brings things into sharper, more stark focus.

To save anybody else the bother of doing this, I think Joe might be confusing Sledge with David Nugent as this was the only picture fitting the description that I could find.

St Ledger comes from a proud Irish family, so to say he doesn't care couldn't be further from the truth.

Oh and it's two Irish Grandparents to be exact!

Plus Aunts, Uncles and Cousins that live in Ireland.

But hey don't let the truth get in the way of your jealousy!

Doc - I was having a cheap dig at the journalist Eamonn Sweeney. You might have copped that if you didn't limit yourself to one thread. It's more than clear from the artcile that he cares very much.

Best of luck to The Saint - with this likely to be John O'Shea's last campaign and if he can maintain or even improve his form, could there be an opening for him in the squad for the qualifiers next Autumn?

No. Paul McShane (shudder) is a far better option.

Rapids have declined an option on SSL but offered him a new agreement? Does this mean they want to pay his less then the 100 grand he was on last year? Surely he'd be better off back in England at this stage, maybe league 1and then work his way back up to the champo.

Dunno, this league is chock-full of Ciaran Clark types just waiting to clumsily do him an injury in training.

So you think it's acceptable to make a knee high 2 footed challenge on a team mate in training that puts him out for 2 months?

It was totally unprofessional just like your comments.

You've got to put a marker down early on the opposition's best player, training or not.

Obviously the solution for SSL is to sign for Cork, no chance of anyone making a dirty challenge in training never mind a match from the bastions of fair play.

Don't know if it is in anyway related, but it is one year ago since SSL got the arse from Orlando. Maybe Taylor Swift has told him he will never play for Ireland again, just saying.

Quietly now while I turn a page
Act one is over without costume change
The principal would like to leave the stage
The crowd don't understand

Hopefully you too will leave the stage, this one, this quiet corner of the internet, if indeed the nearly man that is SSL's days masquerading as a pro athlete have drawn to a gentle unheralded & distant close, after much misguided and ultimately unwarranted drum banging in his favour by your good self. Chap.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you have.
