I didn't know you were into classical music, Eminence. :p

Baroque and roll, m'dear chap!! I put in the hours on my air guitar in the 80s, but my air harpsichord simply has to be seen to be believed.

Crooner Des O'Connor aged 88.

His father was from Ireland and emigrated to East London a few years before he was born. Des was quite proud of his parents' backgrounds. I think I remember reading he followed us in USA 94 or Italia 90 over the phone (he was working but was trying to get phone updates on our matches).

Nothing posted about Maurice Setters that I could find. Part of the successful team with Big Jack both with Ireland and Sheffield Wednesday. I know Keane was scathing about him but that goes with out saying but he is part of that iconic duo and deserves a mention in my opinion. RIP Maurice, just a short time after your friend Jack.

Can I say farewell to Freddie Mercury again? I watched Bohemian Rhapsody last night and while I was disappointed in the movie, it made me sad for Freddie. He deserved to spend more time on the stage, where he felt loved, and where he excelled.

RIP Marvellous Marvin Hagler.

Thanks for perhaps the greatest round in boxing history (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HL2a2-8OHdg).

When the referee paused the action in the third round to check if Hagler's cuts were too bad and the blood in his eyes was a concern, the story goes that he asked Hagler 'Can you see him?', and Hagler's response was 'I'm hitting him aint I?', before knocking Hearns out in the same round.
