Shocking news, unconfirmed reports say it was a heart attack and he died in his sleep. I was in Limerick this weekend, and went to Thomond Park before I left to pay my respects. Tied a flag to the gates, and signed the book of condolences

Hopefully that is the case. Desperately sad stuff, it must have been surreal being over there for the match and that news filtering through.

Left of field one this, but US short story writer Thom Jones, who created wondefully drawn characters living neon-lit lives, dependent on prescription meds and always nearly making it. Genuinely one of the true greats of the short story.

Apparently there is to a a minute's silence at Hillsborough this Saturday as a mark of respect as the owners are from Thailand. I wonder how that one will go down with the visiting QPR supporters. If the Owls's supporters know what side their bread is buttered on there shouldn't be a murmur from them.

Really sad to hear about this, the commentary for Darts now is beyond terrible compared to likes of Dave and Sid, who made a dreadful match seem exciting. All they talk about nowadays is averages and double percentage etc., they don't put in the excitement and wit like them two did.

I was disgusted that Dylan got that now. Seemed a sop. Weird.
I'd defo be more pro-Cohen than Dylan despite not being able to enjoy either musically.
I saw Dylan a few years ago in the Point. Absolute shoite. Such a crock that he still tours with his voice as it is.
That being said 10 years ago he played Kilkenny and was supported by the Violent Femmes and the Flaming Lips (left after the Lips who were astounding).
