Oddly I was listening to Bat out of Hell 2 when I went for a walk before the news broke that day. You can really hear his musical theatre background in so much of what he wrote. Wall of sound meets Andrew Lloyd Webber with motorbikes... Ah well, another one gone.

Got to see them supporting Simon and Garfunkel in the RDS 16 or 17 years ago. I like S&G, but The Everlys... magic.

Lee Scratch Perry (https://www.theguardian.com/music/gallery/2021/aug/29/lee-scratch-perry-a-life-in-pictures)... Bunny Wailer this year, Toots Hibbert last year - that glorious reggae generation of the 60s and 70s is growing smaller all the time.

I remember him lying through his teeth to the UN to try to justify the invasion of Iraq. What I didn't know is he had a role in whitewashing the My Lai massacre too. May he rot in hell.

Celtic fans might be in a position to correct me, but the impression I got was that he never really got invested in the ugly side of the Old Firm rivalry, just got on with his job as a manager.

For all the obsession with money and property he ended up with what everyone else does - 6x3, and maybe sooner than he should have. Though it's a pity he did't get there via a spell in a 6x8 with bars on the window...

One from a while back, but anyone who played Championship Manager 01/02 will remember the name Maxim Tsigalko.

He got two caps for Belarus (scoring once) but injury meant his career never took off the way it did in almost every CM game.

He died on Christmas Day 2020 at 37. No cause of death reported that I can see. But it seems Belarus isn't the place to have your career ended early by injury. Fairly sad story overall.

I saw one post online saying the poster had nine of the same drugs in their system for legitimate and prescribed pain management. Urine tests are a bit crude, and it might be best to reserve judgement until the toxicology report, which gives you quantities, is available.
