" Thai police told the BBC the 72-year-old was found by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and genitals"
~cringe~, death by mis-adventure?
That IS Bizarre. I was thinking today maybe just maybe he'd had a Michael Hutchence-esque mishap but it seemed vulgar to say it. But BBC are made of stouter stuff than I.
Headstone inscription: Here lies Caine ...he came and went at the same time.

The reports seem to be now that it was misadventure and not suicide.

But a spokeswoman for Carradine has dismissed the theory he may have taken his own life.
"All we can say is, we know David would never have committed suicide," said Tiffany Smith, of Binder and Associates.

LOS ANGELES – Farrah Fawcett, whose luxurious tresses and blinding smile helped redefine sex appeal in the 1970s as one of TV's "Charlie's Angels," died Thursday after battling cancer. She was 62.

Surely Elvis would top it, John Lennon too probably due to those deaths being in the middle of comebacks and being quite shocking
Can any of us honestly say we thought Jackson was gonna make it to be a pensioner? And musically his career has been dead for nearly 20 years

Michael Jackson was in the middle of a comeback too, don't forget. And Elvis wasn't likely to make it to being a pensioner either, if you look at his last few years and shows.
Read one report which suggested the strain of rehearsing for the shows was what pushed him over the edge.
Jesus would have to be up there I suppose.
Although if we count him we'll have to open a 'Hello Again...' thread as well.

"Worse than the ordinary miserable childhood is the miserable Irish childhood, and worse yet is the miserable Irish Catholic childhood."
"People everywhere brag and whimper about the woes of their early years, but nothing can compare with the Irish version: the poverty, the shiftless loquacious father; the pious defeated mother moaning by the fire; pompous priests, bullying schoolmasters; the English and all the terrible things they did to us for 800 long years."

The Treatment Room at Monaghan General Hospital will cease to exist from midnight. We will no longer have a 24 hour service and will just have a minor injuries room open until 9pm each day.
Am so upset. The treatment room saved my life and prevented my son from getting convulsions which would probably have left him with epilepsy. Dont think I would have survived a trip to Cavan hospital last time I turned blue at the lips from not getting enough oxegen & am scared of what will happen if I should fall that ill again.
